I was entertaining a scum!hawkie for a while but I can't figure out any line of reasoning were scum!hawkie defends and supports town!me to the extent that he has throughout the game. For as much as he's targeted people who ended up flipping town if he were scum it can't have been in his best interests to protect me so much

If I understand you correctly than I think you're misreading things? I had thought that I had town read hawkie and I had thought that I had continued to town read hawkie throughout the game, I thought it was interesting that I didn't town read him as strongly as I had thought but I didn't tie that to any read today
