Persian/Liepard (PARP)

Sorry about my inactivity, school gets in the way. Are we still determining to use Generation 7 Pokemon yet? And will we use the upgrades soon?

Can you vote also for other submissions? There are many ties, so your votes would help to see which are the most wanted fusions. Parp will be in anyway...

Guys please vote for other submissions. There are WAAAY too many ties in the name of Parp.

Cherrim/Sunflora (Self Vote)
Lunatone/Volcanion (Sun and Moon advertisment)
Chatot/Deoxys-Attack (My God this is powerful)
Probopass/Latias (My God this is bulky)
Golurk/Darmanitan (I mean it's my submission so I guess ill vote for it)
Celebi/Driftblim (This is the fast Decidueye that I need)
Blaziken/Simisage (Self Vote #2)

Edit: Im like one of the only people who didn't vote for Parp

You can't fight the Parp. We're leaving this generation with Parp as our god, and whenever someone asks about Fusion Evolution in generation 6 we will be able to look them in the eyes and say in a monotone voice "Parp".

The irony of it is that Parp actually gets slightly better in 7th Generation, since Sucker Punch (a handy STAB move when you come across a priority user) has been knocked down to 70 BP according to Serebii and therefore activates its ability. I don't know how useful it'll be, since Parp's ability means it outspeeds pretty much anything and everything, but it's definitely a buff. Thanks, GameFreak! =]

Seriously? Just look at someone in the eyes and say in a serious, monotone way: parp

What does the future hold for Fusion Evolution?
It is a Gen 6 Pet Mod, so will that be changed since Gen 7 is out (with nerfs, buffs, mechanics, etc)? Or will we finally end this pet mod... to maybe start a Gen 7 reboot?

When you realise no ties are in effect....

Well here are your winners!!

golurk.gif
darmanitan.gif

DNA Donors: Golurk + Darmanitan
Offspring Name: Golmanitan
New Type: Ground/Fire
New Base Stats: 100/142/70/43/70/95 (+20 Spe, +10 Atk, +3 Def, +3 SpD, +3 HP, +1 SpA)
New Ability: Careless Force (Klutz + Sheer Force): If this pokemon is holding an item, the item does nothing and this pokemon gets a 1.5x boost to physical moves
Notable Moves: Flare Blitz, Earthquake, Superpower, Stone Edge, U-Turn, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Rock Polish
Role Identification: If you hold an item, you get a choice band boost without locking in to one move. It might be good to run a horrible item on it like a lagging tail to catch a trick user off guard. It's attack stat is already high. The only thing that makes this bad is it's speed, which Rock Polish can fix in a jiff

sunflora.gif
cherrim.gif

Parents: Sunflora + Cherrim
Shared Egg Group: Grass
Offspring Name: Sunflorrim
New Type: Grass
New Base Stats: 82/77/72/106/91/67 (+10 All) BST: 495
New Ability: Photosynthetic Grace (Flower Gift + Solar Power): When in the sun, it's Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed are all doubled, but they are all quartered in Rain, Sandstorm, Hail, and any custom weathers created in Fusion Evolution.
Notable Moves: Solar Beam, Leaf Storm, Weather Ball, Sludge Bomb, Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam, Growth
Role Identification: The best pokemon in the sun, without a doubt. In the sun, it's special attack is greater than Deoxys-Attack, with it's attack being almost on par (with a neutral nature). This thing even outspeeds Deoxys-Speed, and is Physically and Specially bulkier than Deoxys-Defense. And to back it up, it has a small but valuable movepool with key types such as fire, ground, poison, and fairy. But all good things have some negatives, as this thing is subpar outside of the sun, and absolute trash in any other weather. Though, it is an extremely powerful pokemon, and should always be considered for any sun based team. Also Hazard kinda wrecks this things entire existence, as the sun that boosts it boosts Hazard as well.

lunatone.gif
volcanion.gif

Parents: Lunatone + Volcanion
Shared Egg Group: DNA
Offspring Name: Unconventional
New Type: Fire/Rock
New Base Stats: 87 (+12)/82/100 (+8)/132(+20)/87/70
New Ability and Description: (Levitate + Water Absorb) Sand Slurp: Using or being the target of Ground- and Water-type moves heals this Pokémon for 1/8th of its maximum health. This increases to 1/6th in Sandstorm.
Notable Moves: Fire Blast, Weather Ball, Earth Power, Steam Eruption, Moonblast, Sludge Bomb, Psyshock, Psychic, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Sandstorm, Calm Mind, Cosmic Power, Rock Polish, Toxic, Substitute, Protect, Baton Pass
Role Identification: Rock-type special sweeper. Yes, you heard right. With a 100 BP STAB move in Sandstorm Weather Ball and an ability that grants excellent durability, this is a superlative bulky attacker that can soak up attacks that would otherwise be doing quadruple damage to it. While it still has weaknesses to Fighting- and Rock-type attacks, it's perfectly capable of tanking the hits with a variety of reliable recovery options. It also packs a variety of useful moves, including the brilliant Steam Eruption and more esoteric options like Psyshock and Focus Blast, and has several excellent boosting options as well as the ability to put them on someone else via BP, but frankly? An Assault Vest set can work just as well too. It desperately needs Sand support, though, so it's not entirely invincible; just very, very good at fulfilling a niche that wasn't previously there. =]

573.gif
424.gif

Parents: Cinccino & Ambipom
Shared egg group: Field
Offspring name: Ambiccino
New type: Normal
New base stats: 90/113/78/78/78/130
New ability and desc: Technician (Technician+Technician)
Notable moves: All of Cinccino’s and Ambipom’s normally notable moves.
Role identification: What do you get when you combine an RU with a RU? Perhaps a UU or possibly an OU. These pokemon are so similar in many ways, from abilities, to stats, and even typing. So, here we are, with a Cinccino or Ambipom that has better Hp, attack, defense, Sp. Defense, Sp. Attack, and speed. So pretty much, they work for the same role(s) that Ambipom and Cinccino play, just it does it's job much better than they do.

And now for the god amongst mon...

persian.gif
liepard.gif

Parents: Persian + Liepard
Shared egg group: Field
Offspring name: Primal Arceus Parp
New type: Normal/Dark
New base stats: 74/89/65/86/67/120
New ability and desc: (Technician + Unburden)Completely Serious Name: Moves of 70 BP or less gain a 33% damage bonus. They also do double damage, and the user’s raw Speed is doubled, if the user consumes or is not holding a Held Item.
Notable moves: Knock Off, Fake Out, Headbutt, Aerial Ace, Bite, Facade, Slash, Night Slash, Shadow Claw, U-Turn, Retaliate, Secret Power, Bubble Beam, Water Pulse, Shock Wave, Swift, Icy Wind, Encore, Nasty Plot, Hone Claws.
Role identification: A Pokémon with generally lacklustre stats and a strange typing hoisted aloft by an amazing ability, Parp goes parp. Parp. Parp parp parp. And then you are dead, and regret laughing at Parp’s silly name. This is on account of Parp hitting like a speeding bus after its ability procs, and it also makes it ungodly fast. Whether a boosting special sweeper, a potent early game attacker with its STAB Knock Offs, an unbelievably fast U-Turn scout, a Retaliate-abusing revenge attacker, or simply a general-purpose Encore-abusing dickbag, Parp will parp on for as long as it may. Just watch out for Fighting-types with Mach Punch; they can and will ruin your day since you can’t abuse Priority Copycat like Prankster Liepard can. BANZAI

On a more personal note, I'm really sad that Gengar, Cloyster, Abomasnow or Meloetta didnt get a fusion in (The last one didnt even get a submission.)
I really hoped that they could of gotten in this slate without Zard, Hax or Gyara running about

Alright guys you know what to do!
  1. Analyze these abilities. Are they balanced? Can they be better? (Really look into this)
  2. Help find the best moveset for them based on their new roles. Should it boost its Attack first? Is it a team supporter?
  3. Try to guess any checks or counters we might run into later, and if possible, see if one of the other fusions would make a good teammate to get past these counters.
  4. To expand on #3, which of these Pokemon can check/counter the earlier slates? How would they fit together on a team? How would they support each other?

Yay! I technically got two submissions in, so I'm very happy. A thing I seem to notice is that fusing two bad Pokemon makes for a great way for me to gain votes (Klinkle and Sunflorrim). Thanks G-Luke for resubmitting another of my submissions so it can get in :).

Anyways, here are some new sets

Golmanitan @ Iron Ball
Ability: Carless Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch/Rock Slide
- U-turn
Pretty Standard set, Blitz and Earthquake are stabs. Ice Punch/Rock Slide are coverage options, and U-Turn is for momentum. The iron ball is for it's ability and for catching trick/switcheroo pokemon, though a life orb could be run if you get your ability removed or nullified.

Sunflorrim @ Life Orb
Ability: Photosynthetic Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Solar Beam
- Weather Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Earth Power
Just a great set for sun, the only reason why you run this. Solar Beam has consistent damage throughout the sun turns, and same for weather ball. Sludge Bomb and Earth Power are great coverage options for fairies and steels respectively

On a more personal note, I'm really sad that Gengar, Cloyster, Abomasnow or Meloetta didnt get a fusion in (The last one didnt even get a submission.)
What is Melia, chopped liver? In all seriousness, congrats to the winners, and CCC in particular for finally getting Parp in

Congratulations to all our winners, and thanks to everyone who took part. I considered submitting some of my older designs, like a Cloyster/Clawitzer special attacker, but TBH I ditched a lot of them in favour of making something new instead. I'll probably end up submitting some other repeats at some point. =]

Anyway, here are some ideas:-

HE IS RISEN (Parp) @ Normal Gem
Ability: Completely Serious Name
EVs: 252 Attack / 4 Defence / 252 Speed
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Sucker Punch
- Retaliate
- U-Turn

Make some noise! This is an interesting Parp set that trades on its access to Fake Out/boosted U-Turn combo that lets it do serious damage to a lot of other 'mons. A fast switch-in to a bulky 'mon like Cofagreelix means it can dump a load of hurt down without your side taking much in return. However, where this set really shines is as a revenge killer. STAB Retaliate packs a hell of a punch when CSN is active, and (barring priority and/or Ghosts) will hit seriously hard. It's a moveset that emphasizes hit-and-run tactics, as its defences are paper-thin in a metagame involving so many really heavy hitters. Sucker Punch is really only there for secondary STAB... at least until Generation 7, whereupon it becomes godlike. Parp has strong moves that fit its playstyle, but its pathetic 74/65/67 defensive statline keeps it from being broken. It really is a win-or-bust sort of fusion.

Rocky Road (Unconventional) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Slurp
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Defence / 252 Special Attack
Bold Nature
- Weather Ball
- Steam Eruption
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast/Moonblast

Weather Ball is the core of this set, what with it being a fusion designed to tank both physical and special hits and make proper use of the AssVest. In a Sandstorm, this thing is murderous, with a 100 BP STAB Rock-type move hitting stuff for a lot of damage, while Earth Power is there for the excellent coverage it has when combined with Rock!WB as well as the healing component from the ability. Steam Eruption is also a brilliant move, basically a better (if slightly less accurate) Scald, and it also gives a heal. Finally, it's a toss-up between the secondary STAB of Fire Blast (if you think your opponent has a way of nixing your sand supply) to deal with Skarmory and similar fusions or Moonblast for the sake of additional SE coverage. This fusion is exceptionally tanky, especially in Sandstorm, so the usual combination of Defence investment and Assault Vest makes it very difficult to take out. However, it is weak to a couple of extremely common coverage types (Fighting- and Rock-type), so do bear in mind that it's not invincible.

Technical (Ambiccino) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
Adamant Nature
- Tail Slap
- Rock Blast
- Bullet Punch
- Low Kick

A combination of the best of both worlds, Technician boosts Tail Slap to pretty decent levels while Rock Blast and Bullet Punch act as coverage. Low Kick fills the final slot for a bit of Fighting-type coverage against common threats, though Acrobatics is an option depending on how/if it works with Technician. It's a potent attacker, but I'm not sure it hits hard enough reliably enough to hack its way through the high defences of this meta. We shall see. =]

Congratulations to the winners! I'm a little sad that my fusions went mostly unnoticed, but I did see that a few people liked Pelicolo (Pelipper/Ludicolo) and Arilous (Arbok/Zweilous), so that gives me an idea of what people here want to see. Unfortunately, I'm no good at making sets, so I can't be of much use to y'all here, but I'll hang around until the next Submission Phase (Which could realistically have Gen 7 mons)!

Also, while we're here... has anyone seen rhydreigon recently? The OP hasn't been updated since, er, the slate with Basculin-Basculin. Which was a while back. =]

We're missing the following:

Mewelli
Bael
Simigoat
Miltrank
Furfraught
Tyranking
Supermuk
Mentor
Elektra
Escagon

Plus the latest set, obviously.

Golmanitain @ Sticky Barb/Black Sludge/Iron Ball/Lagging Tail
Ability: Careless Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
Can annoy Trick users, whilst setting up a Rock Polish. Once that has been done, you have a pokemon with 632 speed, 574 attack, and a movepool that can hit any pokemon neutrally... good lord...

Aw, RIP Darm + Weavile. Oh well, there's always next time. Guess I'll provide my thoughts on the winners.

While Fake Out, Slash, etc., is a no-brainer, I think Nasty Plot will be fun, considering the fact that Parp's Special Attack is only a few points lower than its Attack. Combine that with low bulk and a Focus Sash, and Parp's Ability activates after taking almost any hit from offense, giving it a 160 BP (damn this is stronk) never-miss STAB move in Swift. It can run stuff like Water Pulse and Shock Wave for coverage, too.

Now this is cool. Giving up the item slot for power is a bit sad, but you can be creative and run stuff to cripple your opponent should they use Trick. Unfortunately, it's hit hard by Knock Off, not because of typing but because of the fact that it relies on its item to make it truly strong. It also can't be made faster by Choice Scarf, so you'll need to run Rock Polish to go fast.

Holy hell. Doubling all stats in sun makes this a terror as long as the sun is up, but it's heavily reliant on sun and isn't bulky enough to set Sunny Day itself. And of course, if any other weather is set up and your opponent keeps it up, Sunflorrim is dead weight. Still pretty cool, especially since there's a myriad of automatic sun setters in FE.

I think this is the longest name to ever grace FE. Anyway, a special Rock-type is cool, and a Rock/Fire-type is cool, so Unconventional is super cool. The main problem is that it's weak to Rock, a common Sandstorm-abusing type. But other than that, it's a really neat fusion.

Will the RU players be satisfied now? We finally have the ultimate Technician user (lol sorry, Scizor)! 113 base Attack, while higher than both Ambipom's and Cinccino's, is not extremely good in a metagame where the average power goes through the roof on a daily basis. 130 base Speed is nice, though.

Also, the list of BSTs on page 32 has been edited to include the winners of this slate.

As a little bit of a twist, how about having this: At least one if the parents MUST be an alolan form pokemon.

Or, have a slate where you must fuse an existing Fusionmon & a pokemon). It would be cool, and hilarious.
