When you wake up to a new game and we're already out of RVS.

Some thoughts right out of the gate:

  • Josh isn't being nearly as verbose and direct as in Deathnote, which is a bit troubling.
  • Hawkie is kind of confusing to me, tbh. I've never played in a game with him/her/them before, I don't really know their meta all that much. He seems very direct and quick to make decisions, which feels somewhat towny to me (to be fair, I tend to be that way sometimes, so it might just be me seeing people play like I play and liking that).
  • Tbh, I agree with Walrein and Moody in that Texas' reasoning is pretty wierd, but I understand where he's coming from (I was recently a noobtown as well), but to me, it feels almost like he's trying to look like he's protecting Hawkie, and buddying him for fun and profit. I don't know Texas' scum meta though, so I'm not sure if it would work.
  • Aubisio still hasn't posted.
Since we lack a majority rule for today, I think I'm going to Vote Josh atm, as he's showing the most diversion from his normal meta.

Treating josh as town for hitmonleet's early pushes on him. Look very nonpartnery and hitmonleet (no offense g) seems like a level 1 wolf.

I'm just thinking around it

there's two plays to play jk

like a doc and like a roleblocker

as in, you target people to protect them as townreads or to block them as scumreads

depending how the jk played theresbinteresting info from their results to garner

if JK is in the final PoE they claim today basically. At worst we go 1 for 1 and have only 1 scum left

rn my lynchpool is {ligjtwolf, yeti, fcc, id, pancake, knights}

obviously there's only 2 scum left so at best that's 1/3 scum.

my particular lynch order rn is basically

fcc
yeti
-gap-
light
-gap-
id
pancake
knights

id and pancake are never partners. other than that I think it's pretty interchangeable from memory. knights is worse with poof being ic.

Ok, life (and my FATE campaign) has finally stopped being a problem, so now I have the time to make a big post.

First, I'm going to make a quick thoughts post:
Asek - Gut Town due to how he's using a lot of evidence in his posts. I don't exactly think his support off King as a lynch is the best idea, but given his reason for actually doing it, I'm inclined to think he's probably town trying to get people to discuss and debate.

Josh - He's still posting really short posts and one-liners, which just feels kind of odd to me, what with how I'm used to seeing him play. Scumlean.

Jalmont & Aubisio - Who? Where did these guys go? Do they even have the minimum 5 posts? (Ignore the fact that I haven't made 5 posts yet)

Hawkie - I really don't know with this guy. He's pretty confident and aggressive in his thoughts, which is exactly how I'd expect Josh to be. He might be coached, but that's really unlikely, imo. Null, scumread if Josh is scum.

Blazade - I don't know his meta either, which makes me a bit confused as to what to read him. His posts are a bit aggressive and demeaning, which, unlike Hawkie, rub me the wrong way. He does bring up valid points tho. Gut Scum.

Texas - He's pointing things out, and although his rationale does have me a bit bemused atm, I'm feeling a bit confident in him being Town.

Ullar - Is Ullar. Gut Ullar, aka ??????

Haruno - He's like he normally plays. I get how people scumread him for it out of policy, but I think this Haruno is town. I watched him play scum in OCNOC, and this is subtly different. He isn't aggressively pushing something specific, he's spreading the love. Town Lean.

Former Hope - In just about every game I'm in, I manage to somehow clash with FH over something over a misunderstanding, so gut town atm. His actual posts are, honestly, not too memorable to me.

King - I want to say this is Town!King, I honestly do. His more meme-y types of posts and one-liners are prevalent in the thread, and he's being active, at the least. Town Lean.

Paperblade - Paperblade is paperblade. I really haven't found anything that stands out to me (I literally can't remember any contributions he's made to discussion, but I might have just missed it). It makes me think he's trying to mostly just pass by in the night without being scrutinized. Scumlean.

Knights - He's trying. He's bringing up topics, making reads, and overall playing like I'd expect him to play. Plus, he hasn't tried to RQS! *Town*.

Moody - Another person who I honestly can't remember too well. Null.

Anyways, it's late over here, so I'll be back in the morning, and talk about:
  • Asek
  • Hawkie
  • The King lynch
  • Why Josh sux (jkjk)
  • Anything I'm forgetting

Color coated how I feel about hitmonleet's reads on people. Might need to reevaluate Asek which is sad. It's someone he has as a town read that he felt he needed to bring up the next morning which might be partner skepticism.

Also I take it back hitmonleet you're breaching into level 2 with this list wpwp

me in a lynchpool is FailFish

You're actually a moron if you think that your interactions with hitmonleet have cleared you in anyway and not lead to a conclusion of being partners with them.

When he was near lolcatting you said something like "if this flips scum i'm gonna be legit pissed" or something which is super super partnery

Spent the night phase rereading interactions and knocking wood I'd live to post them (yay suckgame). Here's some hot takes in no particular order.

-----
Blazade - Blaz had scrumread Hitmon form D1 onward. Scum in this slot requires the belief that scum would continue to bus after losing a PR. I think that's unlikely.

Hawkie - Another consistent scumreader, at least until D3. If Hawkie briefly wavering on a read before pressing it again and then fading off the wagons while still calling for Hitmon's lynch is scum behavior, it makes me wonder what the hell is going on behind the scenes. I don't think Hitmon would self-vote to protect this.

Texas Cloverleaf- Doublebussing with a PR seems unlikely to me, but three scum players creating two separate examples of bussing in a four scum game? The presumption of scum!Texas has become ridiculous.

MoodyCloud - Read progression from null on D1 to Town on D2 to scum on D3. 766, 1036, and 1150 look bad in hindsight. Combination of interactions with Hitmon and interactions with Jalmont looks scummy.

Paperblade/Pancake - Pancake picked up where Paper left off on scumreading Hitmon. Using Hitmon's flip as basis for both a conditional read and an association to a tunnel makes more sense as Town. Scum!Pancake would be bussing his way to a net loss, with another scumbuddy down and one less mislynch opportunity than before the flip.

Asek - Took a strong stance against the massread on Hitmon. An obsessively strong stance. This 2 cd compilation includes such classic scum hits as "X is worse at abc, so why not lynch X?", "these widely Townread players are suspicious for scumreading him", and that oldtime favorite "get in here and do stuff or I will scumread you". Snark and pop culture references aside, she's firmly in my lynch pool.

Flyhn/Ullar/Yeti - Ullar mentions him as a point of interest in the fight with Hawkie. Mild chainsaw here, but I'm starting to rethink chainsaws (stop smirking, Poof). Yeti reads a little like Asek at first glance. But actually considers Hitmonleet over time and considers if players are serious about the wagon and what happens after the flip, to the point where she gave us homework. Less "idling cucks" and more  suggests Town.

Aubisio/Da Letter El/Fort Colorcastle - There's very little to read here. Fort doesn't say much about Hitmon, but does consider associations in both possibilities for Hitmon's flip. Not sure how I feel about spoonfeeding line. I can see a small possibility of stealth scum here, but wouldn't lynch unless my gamesolve was wrong.

Former Hope/Ironic Double - Don't know what a plurshifter is, would like to know. Tone in 1146 suggests delight in the wagon on Hitmon. D3 has ID pushing the wagon. Tone negates the possibility of the push coming from scum (if you think otherwise, go look up "sadist" in the dictionary and apply some common sense).

Shubaka/Empoof - No longer my strongest scumread, but I don't like "speedlynch and move on" in hindsight. Would scum publicly teach a buddy how2 Legacy? :fanking:

Josh - Combining tunneling with bussing doesn't make sense to me. Scum!Josh employing tunnel bussing as an alternative to King tunnel doesn't make sense to me. Josh's chances of scumness are very low.

My gamesolve is Jalmont + Hitmon + Asek + Moody.

vote Asek
