Up to three flawless (31) IVs are passed down onto the baby, and the others are randomly generated.

It is unlikely to have three flawless IVs passed down.

Up to three are passed down, the others are randomly generated. Although it would look like all the IVs are passed down in the unlikely event of having the exact same IVs, the rest are random. It is not three IVs per parent, it is three IVs shared between the parents.

PS: I am sorry if this answer is too complicated, and I got this answer from the four breeding guides. I will refuse to take credit for this answer.

My question is, does anybody know the best route or cave to EV train a Garchomp? I googled it, but got crap results.(D/P)

Another one is where to get the super rod?(D/P)

And one more is where is the move deleter's house?(D/P)

Also, if anybody knows which areas are best for which stats in EV training, then please either tell me, or direct me to a thread with the answers in Stark Mountain. sorry that there are so many questions.

Places I like to EV train...
HP: Cowgirl with 5 Bidoofs in route 209 (below Solaceon - The Daycare Town)
Atk: Chaining for Shinx in route 202.
Def: Chaining for Geodude/Gligar in route 207.
S.atk: Old Chateau against Gastly family
S.def: Route 223 against Tentacruel and Mantyke.
Speed: Route 205, against Fisherman that uses 6 Magikarp.

You get Super Rod in Fight Area, the only Fisherman there, near the passage to route 225.

Move Deleter is in Canalave City, House below Pokémon center

Does your Attack affect how strong Counter would be? How about Reversal?

Another question; Why is Machamp OU even with its abysmal speed?

Counter depends on the amount of HP you lose.Reversal with one HP is a 200 basepower move running of your atk stat.I think Machamp is OU because of Noguard + Dynamicpunch.

Running of my attack stat? Ok so Counter only matters with HP, not attack, but Reversal depends on my attack stat?

But dude, Dynamic Punch lol? There Close Combat for god's sake...who cares about confusion lol? Why isn't Usaring OU? -.-'

I think Machamp is OU because of Noguard + Dynamicpunch.

No Guard and Dynamicpunch is the defining combo of Machamp. With No Guard, Dynamicpunch is Machamp's best fighting move. Cross Chop suffers from 80% accuracy but has a high critical hit ratio: inferior to dynamic punch if you're running No Guard anyway. Close Combat lowers your defenses, which, in Machamp's case, is not a good choice (he won't be going first a lot of the time, except for in trick room).

Confusion is still a useful status condition, especially when it's guaranteed with a 100 base power move. The opponent has a 50% chance of hitting themselves, making a sure-fire counter hard to find. Togekiss Air Slash is popular for the same reason-it's a powerful attack that seriously diminishes the opponent's ability to hit back. Combine this with the fact that Machamp is the only one with No Guard and Dynamicpunch, and I don't see why it couldn't be OU.

I think Ursaring isn't OU because of its mediocre defenses. Its two abilities require you to be statused to work. Ursaring does a load of damage but doesn't have good enough speed. To reach great attack power or good speed, it has to use a burn or toxic orb, which severely cuts into its survivability. Ursaring just doesn't have the great ability of No Guard.

Which is better as a Physical Wall? Cresselia or Donphan? One is too good while the other is a brilliant utility.

Which would do better in a Cresselia weak team? Starmie or MixApe?

Reversal is just a fighting move that gets more Base power if your HP is lower.

Alright, Salaac berry activates when you have 1/4 of your HP right? So my HP needs to be divisible by 4 right? So for example, say I have 400 HP, if I substitute three times, Salaac activates?

Also, say my Pokemon has 399 HP. Can I EV it to have a "divisible-by-4" HP so that Salaac will still activate after exactly 3 Subs?

@ Shadow, oh so Reversal's power is not stronger if you have higher Attack..

Thanks Evil Hamster. Can anyone answer my Salaac/Sub question please? I really need to know because the Pokemon that I need trained will be practically depending on it.

399 is its max without EV's (this is just an example). But since 399 isn't divisible by 4, if I were to have 4 IEV's in HP, making the HP 400, will that work (I sub 3 times and Salaac will activate)?

If you use stockpile to build up your defenses and then someone uses haze (in my example its a Cradily im refering to, so nothing like Roar, etc, just Haze) does it still remove all the effects, considering that it builds up... whatever it builds up in order to use an attack or healing move? Im not making myself too clear here but... yeah, does Haze remove the defensive effects of Stockpile?

How do i get a Clefable with Softbioled and Magic guard?

I know you can get softbioled from Emerald, and Magic Guard from D/P. So how does a Softboiled + Magic Guard Clefable work cross gens?

I have over 3 boxes of reject roselias, each one is timid with flawless speed, sp. attack or sp. defence. I don't want to just release them, what would you guys suggest?

@up
Get a cleffa/clefairy, teach it softboiled, migrate it to DP, evolve it, and hope that it turns into magic guard. If not, take another cleffa/fairy, teach softboiled, migrate, etc, untill you get one with Magic Guard.

Someone has litterally just answerd this exact same question on ONM, which has made me lol.

Basically, teach Clefairy softboiled on Emerald, transfer it, then evolve it, hoping that its ability changes. If not, you have to try again.

Better way is to clone it on emerald (since you're using it anyway) and transfer the clone, if it changes to magic guard in d/p, teach the original softboiled. Saves you the trouble of needing to get the bp each time.

I suck at battling, and PBR has just come out in Europe. Now I feel rubbish. I've done loads of reading and lurking in the past, but I'm still way off, and stuck trying to breed myself a decent gastly. I've never bothered to trade because I'm anti-cheat, anti-clone and all that stuff, which seems to make the task nigh on impossible.

The net result is I have no team. Is there a guide for how to get started if you're a hopeless idiot? Or maybe a standard, relatively obtainable n00b team? I'm not interested in integrity. I just want to beat small children and people who don't understand EVs.

Cheers.
