Evos for Everyone (Slate 21- Keep it Simple)

Discussion Phase:
The metagame so far and nerf proposal #1

So far this metagame is untested and undiscussed, and has around 30 new pokemon ( depending how you count Rotom appliances ). All of these new Pokemon can be found in the Spreadsheet. Remember that this is an OU-based metagame so they will be coexisting with the likes of Tapu Koko and Heatran.

I'm going to start us off with a proposal to nerf some of the pokemon that I think are a fair bit stronger than the rest and would over centralize the metagame. Feel free to adjust my changes or suggest a different type of nerf altogether. The original creator has ultimate veto power over any changes. The goal of nerfing should be to stay true to the spirit original submission and not put any new twists on it. Do not take with one hand and give with the other. If you think I've taken too many liberties with my proposals, suggest a more neutral change.

Here are the proposals:
Name: Myzteri ( Unown )
Type:

Ability: Protean
Stats: 100 / 72 / 100 / 128 / 100 / 100 | BST: 600
Move Additions: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Tail Glow, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Power Gem, Earth Power, Aura Sphere, Scald, Recover

Why Over Powered?: 128 SpA and Protean backed up by Mew's bulk and decent Speed. Tail Glow.
Nerf Proposal: Swap Tail Glow with Nasty Plot. -5 to all stats
Justification: There weren't any critical calcs justifying the stat drop, but on paper it has a better combo of stats and ability than almost anything in OU.
--------------------------
Name: Zycresi ( Unown )
Evolves when leveling up with Mew in the party and no Arceus
Type:

Ability: Psychic Surge
Stats: 100 / 72 / 100 / 108 / 100 / 120 | BST: 600
Move Additions: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Tail Glow, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Power Gem, Earth Power, Aura Sphere, Scald, Recover

Why Over Powered?: 120 Spe and a 50% STAB boost, along with Tail Glow and incredible bulk.
Nerf Proposal: Swap Tail Glow with Nasty Plot. -10 to HP, Def, SpD
Justification: Again no crucial calcs behind lowering the bulk, just taking it down from that 600 BST in light of its 4.5 tier ability.
--------------------------
Name: Psychoglyph ( Sigilyph )
Type:

Ability: Mental Drain* / Tinted Lens / Magic Guard (HA)
Mental Drain* - Psychic-type Lightningrod
Stats: 82 / 58 / 90 / 130 / 90 / 130 | BST: 575
Move Additions: Power Gem, Earth Power, Moonblast, Nasty Plot, Focus Blast

Why Over Powered?: 130 / 130 Offenses with Magic Guard, phenomenal coverage on Psychic counters, reasonable defenses + good boosting move. Think Mega Zam with bulk, Magic Guard, Fire / Ground coverage, and Nasty Plot.
Nerf Proposal: -15 SpA, -10 Spe
Justification: It still outspeeds a very crowded 115 speed tier in Evos for Everyone, and it's still got decent bulk with Magic Guard, but it needs a Nasty Plot boost to gain wallbreaking power now.
--------------------------
I'm not that concerned about Psychoglyph's brother, Glyphite, but I'll leave it up to Origin0 if they want to make any changes to it so it will match Psychoglyph's BST.
--------------------------
Name: Combustoise ( Turtonator )
Type:

Ability: Volatile*
Volatile* - Stamina clone that raises SpA
Stats: 100 / 90 / 150 / 110 / 100 / 50 | BST: 600
Move Additions: Slack Off, Earth Power, Power Gem

Why Over Powered?: Astronomical 100/150/100 defenses allow it to easily set up Shell Smash, and thanks to its ability it can easily get to +3 SpA and start abusing near-perfect three move coverage.
Nerf Proposal: - 10 HP, -10 SpA, Volatile now lowers SpD as well as boosting SpA. Add Shell Armor as an optional ability.
Justification: It's now going to have some weaknesses when setting up, and hit a little less hard. +3 SpA after one turn of setup is still no joke. Shell Armor was added as a neutral way to avoid the new downside of Volatile if you want.
In addition to discussing these pokemon, please suggest any other pokemon that look interesting to you, or bring up any balance concerns you have. Really any thoughts about the metagame would be helpful as there has not been any discussion yet. Don't forget that this metagame will be playable on Dragon Heaven soon!

Also don't worry the next slate will be up in a day or two.

Psychoglyph: agree with Scoopapa (82 / 58 / 90 / 130 / 90 / 130 | BST: 580 -> 82 / 58 / 90 / 115 / 90 / 120 | BST: 555)

Glyphlite: -5 SpA, -15 Spe, just to equalize their BSTs (107 / 58 / 100 / 115 / 105 / 90 | BST: 575 -> 107 / 58 / 100 / 110 / 105 / 75 | BST: 555)

Volatile now lowers SpD by 1 stage while SpA by 1 stage after taking a hit and is a HA
Shell Armor added as a standard ability
Ok, unless anyone has strong opinions otherwise these will be the changes.

Some general thoughts on the metagame:
- We have one new Rain setter, two new Sun setters, and one new Sand setter. They're all fairly bulky and reliable looking, so weather will likely play a big role in the metagame.
- We have three new Swift Swim users ( Sorbtisc looks insane ) and one new Chlorophyll user. For what it's worth, a few Rock-types for Sand as well; Water Absorb Maractus also probably matches great with another Sand Setter.
- wall breakers: ( power ) Fangnaf, Sortisc, Canard, Wuntoo ( setup ) Fangnaf, Psychoglyph, Myzteri, Zycresi, Fugishimi, Matilla
- revenge killers: Dunstrike, Taurochs,
- win conditions: Combustoise, Psychoglyph, Glyphlite, Preciousaur,
- defensive threats: Torkettle, Rotogeist-Fan, Pulla, Combustoise, Tambouro,

Original Pokemon Name: Cryogonal
New Pokemon Name: Cryolygon (Cry + crystal + polygon)
Evolution Method: Evolves by leveling up in Hail at high Affection

Type: Ice

Ability: Levitate
Stats: 85 (+ 5)/50/50/105 (+ 10)/140 (+ 5)/105 535 BST (+ 20)
Move Additions: Ice Ball, Powder Snow, Fake Tears, Baby-Doll Eyes, Tearful Look
Competitive Niche (OU): Why didn’t a mon that is clearly crying have crying moves? Anyway, Cryolygon isn’t much stronger than its prevo, but it has slightly better offenses, which is important to an ice type (meaning it’s unlikely to be overshadowed by its prevo holding eviolite). That said, its defences are slightly better as well.

Original Pokemon Name: Delibird
New Pokemon Name: Packenguin (Packing + penguin)
Evolution Method: Evolves by leveling up while holdig Leftovers at high Affection

Type: Ice/Fairy

Ability: Slush Rush/Hustle/Harvest
Stats: 85 (+ 40)/75 (+ 20)/75 (+ 30)/85 (+ 20)/65 (+ 20)/115 (+ 40) 500 BST (+ 170)
Move Additions: Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Play Rough, Dazzling Gleam
Competitive Niche (OU): Gotta go fast to deliver those presents. With an improved typing and better choice of abilities, you can outspeed a lot of the metagame to hit hard with a nice offensive typing (That can benefit from Terrain). That said, your offenses aren’t huge and Bullet Punch hurts. If you want to try your defences though, you can go for a Harvest set (gotta collect the presents to deliver as well).

Original Pokemon Name: Moltres
New Pokemon Name: Moltferno (Moltres + inferno)
Evolution Method: Evolves when levelled up in Sun at level 50+.
Type: Fire/Flying

Ability: Pressure/Flame Body
Stats: 55 (- 35)/60 (- 40)/55 (- 35)/85 (- 40)/50 (- 35)/55 (- 35) 360 BST (- 220)
Move Subtractions: Ancient Power, Giga Impact
Competitive Niche (LC): Moltferno’s reasonable physical defense can benefit from the burn chance of Flame Body and Roost. Or you can burn with your moveset and try PP stall with Pressure. Unfortunately, rocks are a big problem. That said, at least Moltferno can hit back even harder than the hits it can take using its special moves.

New Pokemon Name: Primebird ( free 2 day shipping )
Type:

New Moves: Storm Throw, Aura Sphere, Bulk Up, Thunder Punch,
Ability: Technician / Slush Rush | *Winter's Gift
*Winter's Gift - Raises SpA and Def by 50% for itself and allies in hail. ( Flower Gift clone )

Stats: 70 / 95 / 70 / 105 / 70 / 120 | BST: 530
Competitive Niche: A glass cannon with a slew of great moves to use with Technician, including Frost Breath, Storm Throw, Ice Shard, Avalanche, and Hidden Power. Winter's Gift gives it a niche as a very powerful attacker in Hail, making it a shoe-in for Aurora Veil teams. Rapid Spin and Spikes let it support offensive teams in a similar manner to Greninja.

New Pokemon Name: Feroxen ( Frozen + Ferric Oxide )
Type:

New Moves: *Blue Steel, Metal Sound, Metal Burst, Magnet Rise, Autotomize
*Blue Steel - 100 BP Special Steel-type move. 50% chance to lower target's SpD. 95% accuracy. 5-8 PP ( Sacred Fire clone )
Ability: Bulletproof
Stats: 85 / 55 / 55 / 105 / 150 / 125 | BST: 570
Competitive Niche: 125 Spe alongside a strong signature move gives Cryogonal a new lease on life as an offensive spinner. It has to rely on Hidden Power to deal with Steel-types, but after a SpD drop it can break through some of them. Ice/Steel is an arguably better typing than it had before, although it does open up some new 4x weaknesses. Bulletproof allows it to circumvent some of those weaknesses, notably blocking Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, and Shadow Ball, allowing it to wall some of the metagame's many strong Psychic-types. It also blocks Fire-type Weather Ball from Carnivine.

New Pokemon Name: Cryomisal (Cryo + Miserable)
Type: Ice / Dark
New Moves: Dark Pulse, Haze, Depressing Wail (80 BP, Ice, 30% chance to inflict Perish Song. Dark Pulse Clone)
Ability: Rock Bottom (Levitate Clone for Rock moves, including Stealth Rock)
Stats: 80 / 50 / 90 / 105 / 145 / 115
Competitive Niche: Strong on the special side and decent on physical. Can force switches and clear hazards, good speed lets it use Specs as well.

Original Pokemon Name: Cryogonal
New Pokemon Name: Cryometrical (cryo + geometrical)
Evolution Method: Use a Thunder Stone
Type:

Ability: Levitate / Lightningrod (HA)
Stats: 90 / 50 / 60 / 110 / 150 / 115 | BST: 575 (+10 HP, +10 Def, +15 SpA, +15 SpD, +10 Spe, +60 BST)
Move Additions: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Hurricane
Competitive Niche (OU): With STAB BoltBeam, Cryometrical can be a powerful offensive threat with a great speed tier, special attack, and high special bulk. It has access to Rapid Spin, and it may get chances to use it due to the switches it forces. Levitate removes an important weakness and provides switch in opportunities, Lightningrod can be used to switch into predicted Thunder Waves and other Electric attacks to gain a special attack boost, especially if your opponent thought it was running Levitate. Ice/Electric isn't a good defensive typing, however, including a weakness to Stealth Rock. Its lower physical defense is also exploitable.
Cryometrical @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin / Freeze-Dry
- Recover / Freeze-Dry

Original Pokemon Name: Delibird
New Pokemon Name: Deliviary (deliver + aviary, also corruption of delivery)
Evolution Method: Level up past level 30 with Stantler in the party
Type:

Ability: Vital Spirit / Hustle / Prankster (HA)
Stats: 75 / 85 / 75 / 95 / 75 / 105 | BST: 510 (+30 HP, +30 Atk, +30 Def, +30 SpA, +30 SpD, +30 Spe, +180 BST)
Move Additions: Toxic Spikes, Air Slash, Wish, Healing Wish
Competitive Niche (OU): Deliviary uses Prankster with a multitude of support moves including Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Wish, and Healing Wish. It also has Rapid Spin to remove hazards on its side, and its special attack is just enough to be usable so that it isn't complete Taunt bait. However, Deliviary's typing leaves it with a 4x Stealth Rock weakness, often making hazard removal a tricky role for it. It also doesn't have great bulk or an amazing speed tier, leaving it vulnerable to fast attackers and Pokemon with Magic Bounce.
Deliviary @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes / Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin / Healing Wish
- Roost / Wish
- Freeze-Dry

Original Pokemon Name: Moltres
New Pokemon Name: Moltinder (molt + tinder/cinder)
Evolution Method: Level up past level 40 while holding Charcoal
Type:

Ability: Pressure / Flame Body (HA)
Stats: 55 / 60 / 50 / 85 / 45 / 60 | BST: 360 (-35 HP, -40 Atk, -40 Def, -40 SpA, -40 SpD, -30 Spe, -225 BST)
Move Subtractions: N/A
Competitive Niche (LC): Moltinder is frail but hits hard with powerful STABs in Fire Blast and Hurricane.

Evolved at level 26.
New Pokemon Name: Delivan (Delivery + van)
Type:

New Moves: Earth Power, U-Turn, Wish
Ability: Vital Spirit, Hustle, Santa's List (Download clone)
Stats: 90 / 80 / 65 / 110 / 65 / 115 (525 BST)
Competitive Niche: The flightless penguin Pokemon has access to the anit-meta STAB combo of Ice and Ground that threatens meta-defining threats such as Lando-T, Toxapex, and Heatran. Delivan also knows if you've been naughty or nice and will increase an offensive stat based on the opponent's defences causing it to become a fast, powerful threat. Unfortunately it does not have very high special attack if unboosted and its frailty leaves it very susceptible to most forms of priority. It can pick of faster Pokemon with Ice Shard (especially with +1 attack) and gain momentum with U-Turn. It also comes with a range of support moves such as Spikes, Rapid Spin, Wish, and Destiny Bond.

Evolved if levelled up from a battle another Crogonal appeared in.
New Pokemon Name: Cryohedral (Cryo- + -hedral)
Type:

New Moves: Stealth Rock, Endeavour
Ability: Blue Ice (Immunity to Fighting type moves - Levitate clone; blue ice is a lot harder than regular ice)
Stats: 85 / 50 / 70 / 115 / 135 /120 (575 BST)
Competitive Niche: This frozen polyhedron has the best possible defensive typing an Ice type can have. Cryohedral as two weaknesses, Ground and Fire, giving it as many opportunities to remove hazards with Rapid Spin. While it lacks offensive coverage, it has enough special attack to create itself a couple of niches. Freeze-Dry is able to 2HKO Toxapex, one of the best Toxic Spike users. Cryohedral can always come in on Toxapex and either threaten to KO it or remove hazards. High speed also helps it to avoid being trapped by Magnezone. It outspeeds Choice Scarf Magnezone and can OHKO it with HP Ground. HP Ground also lets it 2HKO Heatran, allowing it to beat it in most 1v1 situations.
Evolves when levelled up in an hot place (Mt. Ember, Mt. Chimney, Fuego Ironworks, etc.) at level 50+.
New Pokemon Name: Moltercero (Moltres + Spanish for third)
Type:

Removed Moves: Overheat, Hurricane
Ability: Pressure, Flame Body
Stats:
55 / 40 / 60 / 90 / 60 /60 (365 BST)
Competitive Niche: Moltercero basically plays the same role as its evolved form does; it can be a decent attacker with 3 attacks + Roost or it can be a niche stall pick with a bulkier Pressure set. Its crippling weakness to Stealth Rocks allows faster Pokemon to pick it off easily before it can start using Roost to regain HP and become a defensive juggernaut with Eviolite boosted stats.

Evolves when leveling up with 220 hapiness or more during the night
Original Pokemon Name: Delibird
New Pokemon Name: Norfowl (North Pole + Fowl)
Type:

Abilities: Vital Spirit / Hustle / Magic Guard
Stats: 100 / 85 / 80 / 70 / 80 / 75 (BST: 490)
New Moves: Roost, Play Rough, U-turn, Giveaway*
*Giveaway: Heal Bell Clone, but heals 20% of the health instead of curing status.
Competitive: New kind of cleric with the move Giveway. It can get on the field without worrying too much with the help of Magic Guard and it can U-turn back, acting as a potent defensive pivot. A set with Play Rough/U-turn/Defog/Giveway or Roost could definitively work. Also, I guess it could be played with Hustle

Evolution: Delistork (just delivery+stork :P it fits w/ the pre-evo)
Evolution Method: Ice Stone
Typing:

Abilities: Guts / Sheer Force / Vital Spirit
Stats: 75 / 105 / 60 / 95 / 60 / 115 | BST: 510
New Moves: Close Combat, Focus Blast, Swords Dance, Brave Bird
Competitive: With two incredible offensive abilities, Delistork is well-suited for use in the OU tier. He can opt for a Physically-based set with Guts-boosted Close Combat, or a LO Sheer Force set with Freeze-Dry to surprise Water-type switch-ins.

Evos for Everyone is now playable on Dragon Heaven!!!!!

To commemorate this occasion I've created a bunch of sample teams! I made these pretty quickly and I made sure that every pokemon was represented, so no guarantees that they are great teams. They should be enough to get things started, though:

If you are looking to build your own team then the spreadsheet will be a useful resource for you. You can find links to sample movesets for each pokemon in the rightmost column.

As of now only OU is playable. I'll be looking to get Little Cup going in the next update. I'm also thinking of doing some kind of playtest tournament, so let me know if you'd be interested in that!

The Lost Age

New Pokemon Name: Cadenescent (cadence + luminescent)
Evolution Method: Level up past level 35 with an Illumise in your party
Type:

New Moves:
Hyper Voice, Healing Wish, Swords Dance, Leech Life, Zing Zap
Ability: Illuminate* / Prankster / Galvanize
(*Illuminate unleashed a blinding light, making any move that isn’t 100% accurate miss Cadenescent with ease [an opposite of No Guard if you will]) This may be OP idk
Stats: 85 (+20) / 110 (+37) / 85 (+10) / 60 (+13) / 85 / 105 (+20) (530 BST)
Competitive Niche: Cadenescent becomes an offensive beast with a decent amount of Speed and Attack and an overall BST boost. Illuminate allows Cadenescent to avoid moves that could hurt it such as Fire Blast or Stone Edge while Galvanize gives him access to powerful priority with Quick Attack or a more powerful Electric STAB in Return over Zing Zap. Swords Dance, Leech Life, and Zing Zap helps with offensive sets while Healing Wish helps with Choiced sets thanks to Prankster, giving team support as well.

Idk if I’ll have time to post sample sets, but I will try.

New Pokemon Name: Spotlise (corruption of spotlight)
Evolution Method: Level up past level 35 with a Volbeat in your party
Type:

New Moves:
Moonblast, Tail Glow, Healing Wish
Ability: Magic Guard / Tinted Lens / Prankster
Stats: 85 (+20) / 60 (+13) / 115 (+40) / 80 (+7) / 95 (+10) / 95 (+10) (530 BST)
Competitive Niche: Spotlise is a more defensive counterpart to its opposite, Cadenescent. Moonblast gives her a consistent Fairy STAB while Tail Glow can help it’s offensive sets. Healing Wish provides more utility to an already full movepool of utility options. Magic Guard helps negate SR damage, along with toxic and burn damage, and even allow LO sets as it avoids the recoil while Tinted Lens can be used as well as Prankster on Choiced sets to take advantage of its poor STAB combination.

Again, if I have time I will try to come up with sets.

Doing this on mobile is so fricking hard.
