Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
OK everyone, sorry for the delay. All day first aid course and creative writing in the evening, I was knackered last night. But without further ado, let's count up the votes.
Congratulations PokemonMasterDebater , G-Luke , Scoopapa and Anaconja . As you won, you get to choose the typings for the next slate. PM me or leave a message on my profile with what typings you like ASAP. As PokemonMasterDebater won 2, you get to pick two typings and one of them can have the 600 BST limit if you wish. I have updated the spreadsheet in the OP with the winners. Great work as always everyone.
As a side note, I have also added an analyasis of Contrunion to the OP. If you would like to do an analysis of your successful Pokemon, that would be great (no pressure if you don't feel like it though).
Abilities: Solid Rock / Ice Body / Frosted Over (tinted lens clone) Base Stats: 130/35/110/110/110/20 (BST: 525) Useful Moves: Physical: Rapid Spin Special: Shadow Ball, Blizzard, Freeze Dry Status: Recover, Curse, Hail, Aurora Veil, Substitute, Protect Sprite: Icy colored Golurk Weight: 334.5 lbs Height: 7’09” Gender: Genderless Egg Group(s): Mineral Competitive Use: In the Monotype metagame, ice is severely lacking in Pokémon that can take on fighting types. Froslass isn’t bulky enough at all, and can be taken down easily. Vitalanche would be essentially a bulkier Froslass, but with recovering capabilities. Recover/curse together also helps take down other variously typed Pokémon. Is it Broken?: Although Recover/Curse might seem overpowered on paper, every fire-type team ever can easily take Vitalanche down before it can recover. Having 20 speed doesn’t exactly help either. Pokedex: After an avalanche, many of these Pokémon can be found at the impact site. It is believed that the souls of those who died during the avalanche now inhabit Vitalanche.
/
Abilities: Adaptibility / Sturdy / Water Absorb Base Stats: 135/55/100/135/100/20 (BST: 545) Useful Moves: Physical: N/A Special: Solar Beam, Power Gem, Earth Power Status: Spore, Sunny Day, Leech Seed Sprite: Roselia with yellow flowers and rocky legs Weight: 1.3 lbs Height: 2’07” Gender: 75 (Male)/ 25 (Female) Egg Group(s): Field, Fairy Competitive Use: To be honest, Samphaririff doesn’t seem to do much aside from what Cradily can, however, there are a few distinctions, such as being an incredible sp. attacker, or being used mainly for Sunny Day. Nothing too different, however. Is it Broken?: certainly not Pokédex: Commonly found along rocky cliffsides or mountainous terrain, this Pokémon will send out spores into the wind to incapacitate its prey. Once the prey is immobile, Samphiriff will blast it with beams of energy.
/
Abilities: Regenerator / Ice Body / Overkill (Moves that would be 4x effective instead deal neutral damage) Base Stats: 150/20/160/20/160/20 (BST: 530) Useful Moves:
Physical: Foul Play, Gyro Ball Special: N/A Status: Substitute, Power Trick, Trick Room, Recover, Hail, Aurora Veil, Iron Defense Sprite: Icy colored Darmanitan Zen Mode without the orange things Weight: 45 lbs Height: 2’10” Gender: genderless Egg Group(s): Mineral Competitive Use: Frossteel would be a Pokémon that could easily take hits, even from fire types or fighting types. It doesn’t have many good attacks, however, and can’t use what it has unless it uses Power Trick, which leaves it open to attacks from all Pokémon ever, basically. Is it Broken?: Kind of explained in the Competitive Use segment, but it’s their horrendous attack stats that bring them down. Pokédex: Being found only on the highest of mountains, Frossteels are incredibly rare. Natives who used to find them would worship them as idols, unknowing of the fact that they were Pokémon.
Abilities: *Superconductor / Magnet Pull | Levitate (HA)
*Superconductor - Raises the power of Electric-type moves by 50% Base Stats: 70 / 60 / 85 / 110 / 90 / 115 | BST: 530 Useful Moves:
Physical: [none] Special: Ice Beam, Freeze Dry, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast Status: Magnet Rise, Calm Mind, Rapid Spin Sprite: Blue Probopass Weight: 56.2 kg Height: 1m Gender: Genderless Egg Group(s): Mineral Competitive Use: Provides Ice teams with a number of useful traits, such as a Steel trapper and a fast special attacker and Stealth Rock neutral pivot. Superconductor allows it to have superb BoltBeam STAB coverage despite not being Electric-type, while Magnet Pull can let it trap opposing Steel types and dispatch them with a Z-Focus Blast. Magnet Pull can also ensure it gets to use Rapid Spin on a non-Ghost type. Is it Broken?: It has numerous weaknesses to make setting up difficult, and 110 SpA shouldn't be too game breaking. It's unlikely to see use outside of the already subpar Ice teams, so it can afford to be fairly strong. Pokedex: By cooling its body to a fraction of a degree above absolute zero, it enters a quantum state that allows it to control the forces of electromagnetism.
Abilities: *Frozen Fire / Ice Body | Infiltrator (HA)
*Frozen Fire - Raises the power of Ice-type moves by 50% if hit by a Fire-type move. Fire immunity. Base Stats: 55 / 35 / 100 / 135 / 100 / 95 | BST: 520 Useful Moves:
Physical: [none] Special: Ice Beam, Freeze Dry, Shadow Ball, Hex, Psychic Status: Pain Split, Will-o-Wisp, Calm Mind (Chandelure's movepool, + Ice moves, - Fire attacking moves and Solarbeam) Sprite: Blue Chandelure Weight: 34.3 kg Height: 1m Gender: Genderless Egg Group(s): Mineral Competitive Use: Ice will desperately appreciate both the Fighting and Fire immunities. It's a bit bulkier and faster than normal Chandelure, with a bit less SpA and lower HP for Pain Split. A lot of Alolan formes had points taken out of their lower attacking stat in order to pad their other stats so I don't feel that bad about doing it here. Is it Broken?: It's not that bulky or fast, and it's weak to SR and Pursuit. These factors should keep it in check. Pokedex: The frozen air it blasts at its victims chills and solidifies their soul, which parts from the body and falls to the ground.
Abilities: Sand Stream | Solar Power (HA) Base Stats: 80 / 100 / 100 / 130 / 110 / 60 | BST: 580 Useful Moves:
Physical: Stone Edge, Earthquake, Wood Hammer Special: Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Solarbeam, Weather Ball, Power Gem, Earth Power Status: Synthesis, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Growth, Rock Polish Sprite: Brown Maractus Weight: 25.1 kg Height: 4.2 m Gender: Default (50/50) Egg Group(s): Grass Competitive Use: A sand setter for Rock teams that offers a lot of role compression in comparison to Tyranitar. Unlike Tyranitar, it has useful neutralities for Rock teams, some limited recovery, and Spikes. For Grass teams, a powerful wallbreaker or Rock Polish sweeper in harsh sunlight ( using Pumpkindle to set Sun, of course ). Is it Broken?: It can't really use Synthesis or Growth on Sand Stream sets, and the HP loss from Solar Power pairs badly with low speed. It's also vulnerable to status. Therefore it shouldn't be too difficult to wear down even the bulky sets. Pokedex: It summons sand storms to dissuade people and pokemon from finding the hidden oasis by which it dwells. It secretes a liquid from around its spikes that hardens into inpenetrable armor.
Abilities: Cute Charm / Hustle | Huge Power (HA) Base Stats: 65 / 45 / 75 / 45 / 75 / 115 | BST: 420 Useful Moves:
Physical: Return, Double Edge, Quick Attack, Play Rough, High Jump Kick, U-turn, Blaze Kick, Stomping Tantrum Special:
Status: Encore, Super Fang, Hone Claws, Moonlight, Charm, Sprite: It's a jerboa
Weight: 5.3 kg Height: 0.6 m Gender: Default (50/50) Egg Group(s): Field Competitive Use: Normal and Fairy are already some of the best types in monotype, so I decided to go for something that would break the mold of Normal and Fairy types, rather than looking for a weakness to patch up. A fast, physical, glass cannon attacker is something relatively new to both types ( moreso Fairy ), and Jerbola has a very solid physical movepool to abuse an equivalent 140 attack stat ( which would still be within the stat limit ) alongside 115 base speed. It also has a decent support movepool that throws a bone to hypothetical in-game Jerbolas. Is it Broken?: Compared to Mega Lopunny it has some advantages and some disadvantages, but probably isn't especially better or worse than it. Pokedex: Their agility when hopping across the sand is unmatched. With their large ears, they can detect even the quietest of Hoothoot sneaking up on them and quickly make their escape.
Abilities: Poison Touch / Serene Grace | Merciless (HA) Base Stats: 65 / 85 / 75 / 125 / 90 / 90 | BST: 530 Useful Moves:
Physical: U-turn, Gunk Shot, Close Combat, Special: Poison Dart, Sludge Bomb, Venoshock, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Vacuum Wave, Secret Sword, Dark Pulse, Water Shuriken Status: Nasty Plot, Agility, Toxic Spikes, Calm Mind, Bulk Up
Poison Dart - Special | Poison-type | 65 BP | 100% Acc. | 80% chance to badly poison target. Sprite: Purple Gardevoir, with hands like folding paper fans Weight: 41.8 kg Height: 1.4 m Gender: All Female Egg Group(s): Humanshape Competitive Use: Although a bit of a glass cannon, it has a very solid matchup against many defensive pokemon, and +2 STAB Vacuum Waves should still give it a decent matchup against faster teams. It's bulkier, faster, and stronger than Toxicroak, at any rate. Merciless is a largely unexplored ability, but it has solid potential in combination with Poison Dart, which gives it a more spammable way to spread Poison for its other attacks. However Nasty Plot is more likely to be its main set. Is it Broken?: Mediocre defenses and only 90 base speed will allow most teams to check it. Pokedex: Its poised and elegant demeanor belies its cold brutality. They spar with each other to hone their skills, but their movements are so subtle that they hardly make a sound.
: Head Smash, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Wood Hammer, Seed Bomb, Earthquake,
: Power Gem, Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Earth Power, Flash Cannon
: Synthases, Stealth Rock, Leech Seed, Curse, Calm Mind, Refresh, Recycle Sprite: Weight: Gender: Size: Egg Group(s): Competitive use: RegenVester that provides many needed neutralities to Rock and Grass teams. Is it OP?: Pokedex:
: Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Close Combat, Drain Punch, Stone Edge, Leech Life, Sucker Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Rapid Spin
: Clear Smog
: Toxic Spikes, Coil, Toxic Sprite: Weight: 99 kg Gender: Size: Egg Group(s): Competitive use: Much needed Fairy Neutrality on Fighting, that can also break through Steels for Poison teams. In addition, it can provide Toxic Spikes and Rapid Spin, Fighting of course lacking good hazard removal in regular monotype. Can also use Intimidate to make set up opportunities to boost with Coil, or can spread Toxic Spikes and break down walls with crits from Merciless. Is it OP?: Very weak to Psychic attacks, low speed, no Reliable Recovery, and 4mss hold it back. It wants Ice Punch for bulky Grounds and Dragons, it wants Stone Edge for Flying types, and it wants Sucker Punch for priority and to hit Psychic attackers. Pokedex:
: Pain Split, Will-o-Wisp, Calm Mind, Hail, Taunt. Sprite: Weight: 60 Lbs Gender: 50/50 Size: Egg Group(s): Mineral and Amourphous Competitive use: Is it OP?: Pokedex:
Myths say that Shivburr are the spirits of explorers that got lost in blizzards and froze. It shivers constantly, unable to raise it's body temperature.
Shivburr is always looking for warm places to take shelter, however, it's body tempriture never raises above 0 degrees. One Shivburr jumped into a hot spring trying to get warm, but it was so cold that it froze the water solid.
Will-o-Wisp, Rapid Spin, Destiny Bond, Swords Dance, Stealth Rock Sprite: Marowak-Alola but holding an icicle Weight: 34 kg (75 lbs) Gender: Male/Female Competitive use: It's a potent wallbreaker, having incredible coverage options, and having an immunity to Fire and Fighting. Is it OP?: It has a questionable defensive typing, is prone to Pursuit trappers, and is incredibly slow, forcing it to take a hit before attacking.
Wish, Heal Bell, Toxic, Healing Wish, Roar Sprite: Pink Drampa Weight: 185 kg (408 lbs) Gender: Female only Competitive use: It is a great physical wall, perfect to pair with Chansey on Normal teams, phazing, healing status, and passing wishes. Is it OP?: It is fairly passive and is weak on the special side.
Ability: Leaf Guard / Chlorophyll / Solid Rock Base stats: 100/100/75/100/125/50 (550 BST) Useful Moves:
Knock Off, Power Whip, Stone Edge, Earthquake
Giga Drain, Power Gem, Earth Power
Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Synthesis, Stealth Rock Sprite: Tangrowth but it is brown and its vines are stone flails instead Weight: 129 kg (284 lbs) Gender: Genderless Competitive use: It is an essential addition on both types, taking Fire, Flying, and Poison-type attacks for Grass and Water, Ground, and Grass-type attacks on Rock. It also has incredible Special Defense in sand. Is it OP?: Its recovery options are scarce, because Synthesis is reduced to 25% in sand for Rock types and has low PP on Grass types, and Leech Seed is not very reliable.
Recover, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Taunt, Parting Shot Sprite: Pangoro, but its fists are dripping with poison Weight: 136 kg (300 lbs) Gender: Male only Competitive use: It is a great tank on Poison and Fighting teams, providing a setup check with Unaware or stallbreaker with Poison Touch and Taunt. Is it OP?: Its typing is not very good defensively, and offers no helpful neutrality for Poison-type teams.
(bionic + icicle) Ability: Iron Fist / Snow Cloak / Slush Rush Base stats: 80/130/75/75/75/95 (530 BST) Useful Moves:
Ice Hammer, Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, Hammer Arm, Drain Punch, Meteor Mash, Play Rough, Stone Edge
Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Taunt, Aurora Veil Sprite: Beartic, but its limbs are metal Weight: 260 kg (573 lbs) Gender: Male/Female Competitive use: It is a great attacker under Hail, having a blazing fast speed tier thanks to Slush Rush. It can then sweep the opponent using its great Fighting/Ice coverage. It can also opt for a niche revenge killer on Steel teams with its powerful Iron Fist-boosted Ice Hammers, Drain Punches, and Meteor Mashes. Is it OP?: It is basically hard walled by Water-types, and finds it very difficult to switch in due to its 4x weaknesses and subpar bulk.
Abilities: Inner Focus, Iron Fist, Gloomy Presence Gloomy Presence: This Pokemon takes 1/2 less damage from Fairy type moves Base Stats: 76/118/72/46/116/102 [BST: 530] Notable Moves:
Physical: Gunk Shot, Drain Punch, Leech Life, Close Combat, Mach Punch Special: lol 46 SpA Status: Swords Dance, Substitute, Roar Sprite: Bewear but it’s oozing out green liquid and is in a sickly state with its top half yellow brown and bottom white. Weight: 175lb=79.3787 Gender: 50% Male/50% Female Competitive Use: Hate that your Fighting Mono is getting 6-0ed by Fairies? I introduce you to Tellanuclear! Tellanuclear’s signature ability means it resists Fairy type moves and has a speed tier that outspeeds Mega Diancie! This Pokemon is a fierce foe against the Fairy matchup as it boosts itself with Swords Dance and punches major wholes into it. Is it broken?: Tellanuclear is only really special vs Fairies and it’s just decent in other matchups or it can be deadweight against a matchup like Ground. Pokedex Entries: Tellanuclear was identified as a much different Pokemon years ago but over exposure to nuclear radiation has mutated this Pokemon into a separate entity.
Tellanuclear is often depressed and searches for someone to be their friend. If you see a Tellanuclear, do NOT come in contact with it or it will spread numerous diseases to your body.
Slugurai, the sludge Pokemon
Abilities: Mold Breaker /Merciless / Sticky Sludge (Traps Fairy and Grass types, doesn't effect Poison and Flying Types, no matter their other typing. Magnet Pull Clone)
Base stats:
HP: 95
Atk: 125
Def: 110
SpA: 35
SpD: 80
Spe: 50
Total: 495
Physical moves: Drain Punch, Sacred Sword, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Close Combat, Rock Slide, Mach Punch, Poison Jab, Knock Off, Gunk Shot, Earthquake Special moves: Is a physical attacker, so it wouldn't run special moves Status moves: Bulk Up, Swords Dance, Toxic, Toxic spikes
Sprite: Goodra's body with Abomasnow's Arms and Tail in light purple. The green fur tufts on the arms and tail turn the shade of green as goodra's spots.
Weight: 450.4lbs, 204.3kg
Gender: 50% male, 50% female
Competitive use: Helps fighting types out by providing a neutrality to Fairy, and trapping and taking out Fairies that normally threaten these teams. While for poison teams, its Fighting STABs help beat Steel types that Normally wall many Poison 'mons.
Is it broken?: Low speed, a mediocre Defensive typing (that's weak to common types in Psychic, Flying and Ground), and poor special bulk all make it pretty easy to take out.
Grass/Rock
Venusaur-Alola, the seed Pokemon
Abilities: Overgrow / Thick Fat
Base stats:
HP: 80
Atk: 100
Def: 100
SpA: 82
SpD: 88
Spe: 80
Total: 530
Physical moves: all of regular Venusaur's physical moves including Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Rock Tomb, and Tangling Vines( a physical Grass type clone of Whirlpool) Special moves: all of regular Venusaur's special moves including Power Gem, Earth Power, and Psybeam Status moves: all of regular Venusaur's status moves including Stealth Rock
Sprite: Green Venusaur with dark tan/grey patterns on its body (like the tapus'), and the leaves on its back are replaced with stones in the same color.
Weight: 220.5lbs, 100.0 kg
Gender: 87.5% male, 12.5% female
Competitive use: On Rock, Venusaur-Alola traps and beats most Water types with its STABs, while on Grass, Venusaur-Alola does face competition from Mega Venusaur, Alolasuar gives Grass a real Fire resist, and can beat many Fires with its STAB rock moves.
Is it broken?: Wile it has all-around decent stats, it doesn't hit all that hard if it doesn't use SE moves, and it only has 8 turns of recovery with Synthesis, so it isn't hard to wear down.
Edit after voting began: Venusaur-Alola can't mega with Venusaurite
Alright, throwing my hat in the ring. The next slate will not have any Ice types.
Ice / Steel
Base stats: 61, 103, 107, 59, 75, 115 [520 BST]
Ability: Ice Body, Skill Link, Guts
Useful moves
Physical: Icicle Spear, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Iron Slash, Earthquake, Wild Charge
Iron Slash: Steel type version of Bullet Seed
Special: N/A
Status: Swords Dance, Autotomize
Sprite: Beartic with grey patches
Gender: All
Weight: 450 kgs, 992 lbs
Size: 7 ft 9 in, 2.4 m
Egg groups: Field
Competetive use: At the moment, Steel doesn't really have any fast sweepers other than Z Happy Hour Jirachi. Its Ice typing lets it beat problematic Ground types like Hippowdon and Landorus-T. On Ice, it provides a key neutrality to Steel, most notably Scizor. It can also serve as a strong wallbreaker, giving the likes of Snowslash and Cloyster an easier time sweeping late game.
Is it broken? It's not very powerful before boosting, its 4X Fire weakness is not appreaciated on 2 types that already struggle with Fire. Its bulk isn't great either, as it has low HP and SpD.
Pokedex: It roams the frozen tundra, looking for opponents to fight. Its armour is made of a unique metal that is impervious to cold.
Grass / Rock
Base Stats: 130 / 40 / 140 / 40 / 140 / 10 [500 BST]
Ability: Solid Rock, Unaware, Oblivious
Useful moves
Physical: Rock Tomb, Knock Off
Special: Giga Drain
Status: Toxic, Strength Sap, Stealth Rock, Spikes
Sprite: Cacturne coloured brown
Gender: All
Weight: 300 kgs, 661 lbs
Size: 4 ft 1 in, 1.24 m
Egg groups: Grass, Mineral
Competetive use: Cacmentone is a wall like few other - boasting great HP, Defence and Special Defence, as well as Unaware, it can check a lot of Pokemon threatening to Rock and Grass teams like Azumarill on Rock and Volcarona on Grass. It can also set up hazards, as Rock has few good Spike setters.
Is it broken? It is unbelieavably passive, having pathetic attacking stats. Taunt shuts it down completely (no you're not going to run Oblivious on this thing), and Toxic will give it huge problems. It will also have to take a hit before moving, as it's the slowest fully evolved Pokemon bar Shuckle. It's also total Spikes bait, and Strength Sap isn't effective on foes with low attack stats.
Pokedex: Legends once stated that this Pokemon remained stationary for so long it was actually turned to stone. What it eats, if anything, remains unknown.
Poison / Fighting
Base Stats: 80 / 135 / 90 / 65 / 70 / 80 [520 BST]
Ability: No Guard, Iron Fist, Corrosion
Useful moves
Physical: Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Dynamic Punch, Superpower, Drain Punch, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Mach Punch
Speical: Focus Blast, Sludge Wave, Hidden Power
Status: Bulk Up, Swords Dance, Taunt, Toxic, Toxic Spikes
Sprite: Breloom coloured purple
Gender: All
Weight: 75 kgs, 165 lbs
Size: 5 ft 4 in, 1.63 m
Egg groups: Humanlike, Amorphous
Competetive use: Serves as a strong wallbreaker on both types; on Poison it gives them a Steel check, on Fighting it gives them a Fairy check. No Guard lets it fire off perfectly accurate Gunk Shots, Dynamic Punches and Stone Edges, giving it great overall coverage. You could also try a stallbreaker set with Taunt, Toxic, Drain Punch and Corrosion if you need a stallbreaker.
Is it broken? It has average at best speed, and while its bulk is solid it has common weaknesses and no recovery, leaving it prone to being worn down. There are also many faster Pokemon that can easily revenge kill it like Alakazam, Mega Gardevoir, Landorus etc.
Pokedex: A brawler by nature, this Pokemon spends its days seeking out opponents to fight, often at the expense of finding food and shelter. Its punches are able to easily destory buildings.
OK everyone it is voting time! As usual vote for your favourite Mon of each typing, and you can vote for one of you own pokemon. Voting time ends on Tuesday at 0900 GMT.
Ice/Steel: Ferrice
Normal/Fairy: Jerbola, though I would have loved to see Alolan Snorlax :(
Rock/Grass: Calcipike
Poison/Fighting: Slugurai
Ice/Ghost: Revespear
Ice/Steel: Ferrice
Normal/Fairy: Jerbola, though I would have loved to see Alolan Snorlax :(
Rock/Grass: Calcipike
Poison/Fighting: Slugurai
Ice/Ghost: Anaconja's
I would’ve voted for my own ice/ghost type, but Alolan Chandelure was pure genius and really serves the same role as my own but at least twenty times better with at least 3 new strengths.
Congratulations to Scoopapa and superstrike66 - as your Pokemon have won the slate, you get to pick a typing for the next slate. As Scoopapa won 2, you get to pick 2 and one of them can have the 600 BST limit (if you choose). Please PM me or leave a message on my profile ASAP with which typings you want.
Now, I'm going to try and get this Pet Mod coded and hosted, so after slate 6 we'll be taking a short break from submissions to playtest the meta and see what's broken, what's good and what's not. To make up for this, in addition to the 5 new Pokemon we will also be creating a new mega evolution! The Mega must be of a Pokemon that is C Rank or below on both types it's allowed on. Good luck!
Ability: Mold Breaker / Honey Gather / Sand Force Base stats: 90 HP / 90 Atk / 80 Def / 130 SpA / 74 SpD / 111 Spe [BST 575] Useful Moves
Physical: Earthquake, Stone Edge, Smack Down, U-Turn, Lunge, Superpower Special: Bug Buzz, Earth Power, Ancient Power, Giga Drain, Hidden Power, Signal Beam, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Moonblast Status: Swords Dance, Agility, Moonlight, Stealth Rock Sprite: A Cutiefly that lacks wings, has a menacing look and is like 10x bigger. Black and yellow colour scheme. Weight: 90 kg Gender: 10m / 90f Size: 1.35 m Egg Group(s): Bug Competitive use: Burrobee gives Ground a fast special attacker, something the type sorely lacks. It also gives Bug a fast Choice Scarfer that tips its match up with Fire in its direction. Is it broken?: Its bulk is only modest at best, and lacks any form of special set up to break past bulky walls. Its coverage can also be redundant at times Pokedex:
Burrobee, the Bumblebee Pokemon
Burrobee is a nocturnal Pokemon that spends its nights tunnelling into the ground. It lives in a strict caste system, and primarily digs its tunnels for its Queen and her eggs to live in.
Abilities: Poison Touch | Corrosion (HA) Base Stats: 80 / 115 / 90 / 80 / 70 / 95 | BST: 530 Useful Moves:
Physical: Fang Charge, Gunk Shot, U-Turn, Fire Fang, Dig, Aqua Tail Special: Draco Meteor, Sludge Bomb, Surf Status: Dragon Dance, Swords Dance
Fang Charge - Physical | Dragon type | 90 BP | 100% Acc. | 30% chance to badly poison target. Inflicts 1/4 recoil. Sprite: Blue Salazzle Weight: 42.5 kg
Height: 1.1 m Gender: Default (50/50) Egg Group(s):
Competitive Use: Designed around Corrosion, it can threaten to Poison defensive pokemon by spamming its signature Dragon STAB, and it has considerably better bulk and defensive typing than Salazzle. It has access to Dragon Dance and Swords Dance to attempt a sweep after its checks have been Poisoned and worn down. Is it Broken?: Its coverage against Steels is fairly limited, and its attack is lower than most other Dragon Dance users. Fang Charge may poison Steel and Poison types, but there is stil one type immune to it. Pokedex:
Abilities: Battle Armor / Heavy Metal | Mega Launcher (HA) Base Stats: 75 / 100 / 115 / 100 / 70 / 45 | BST: 505 ( Weight: 553 kg ) Useful Moves:
Physical: Iron Head, Heavy Slam, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Special: Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, Dark Pulse, Water Pulse Status: Stealth Rock, Morning Sun, Roar Sprite: Grey Avalugg with treads Weight:
Height:
Gender:
Egg Group(s):
Competitive Use: A physical tank that can dish out big damage on both ends of the spectrum. Mega Launcher Dragon Pulse is the main draw with an effective 127 BP, but Heavy Slam is not too shabby on the physical side, either. Special sets have Dark Pulse for coverage, and physical sets have Earthquake. Defensive sets could mix and match from both sides. Is it Broken?: Its Special Defense is fairly low, and its speed is very low. Monotype is a pretty offensive metagame so this is a pretty exploitable weakness. Pokedex:
Abilities: Quick Feet / Moxie | Compound Eyes (HA) Base Stats: 75 / 80 / 65 / 105 / 90 / 85 | BST: 500 Useful Moves:
Physical: Close Combat, Lunge, U-turn Special: Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Bug Buzz, Shadow Ball, Acid Spray Status: Quiver Dance, Swords Dance, Bulk Up Sprite: Green Ledian Weight:
Height:
Gender:
Egg Group(s):
Competitive Use: A special Quiver Dance user has a unique niche on Fighting teams. While it's not as powerful as Volcarona, it's neutral to Stealth Rock, and it has very strong, accuracy boosted Focus Blasts. There are many options that look like they would suggest a physical set, but they're mostly there to characterize it as a Fighting-type. Is it Broken?: It's slow enough for most Scarfers to outspeed at +1, and its physical bulk is low. Pokedex:
Abilities: Levitate Base Stats: 75 / 115 / 100 / 95 / 90 / 105 | BST: 580 Useful Moves:
Physical: Earthquake, Leech Life, Lunge, U-turn, Rock Slide, Knock Off Special: Bug Buzz, Earth Power Status: Defog, Shore Up, Roost, Bulk Up Sprite: Tan Vespiquen but more like a mud dauber nest than a beehive Weight:
Height:
Gender:
Egg Group(s):
Competitive Use: An offensive Defog pivot with strong STAB U-turns. It has a bit of crossover with Scizor and Landorus-T, but it has some advantages ( such as Speed ) and also frees them up to run one of their many other effective sets. A Scarf set has the ability to revenge kill +1 Volcarona for Bug teams, and Leech Life sets would be quite effective against Grass teams for the sake of Ground teams. Is it Broken?: It is quite well rounded, but the metagame already deals with some very powerful and bulky Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Zygarde. It lacks a 4x Ice weakness in comparison to these pokemon, but it's less bulky and generally less offensively powerful. Pokedex:
Abilities: Dry Skin / Sand Rush | Swift Swim (HA) Base Stats: 78 / 62 / 75 / 108 / 99 / 88 | BST: 510 Useful Moves:
Physical: Flame Charge, Dragon Tail Special: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Earth Power, Sludge Bomb, Surf Status: Slack Off, Stealth Rock, Will-o-Wisp Sprite: Tan Salandit Weight: 12.4 kg Height: 0.9 m Gender:
Egg Group(s):
Competitive Use: Dry Skin on a Fire/Ground type may not be the most original idea, but it's hard to deny that it would single-handedly give it a unique nice on Fire teams and make it an option over Gastrodon on Ground teams. It has enough movepool options to support defensive or offensive sets; Sand Rush is even an option to support a Specs or Life Orb set on a Sand Team. Is it Broken?: I tried to keep the stats pretty low, so it will have to leverage its great typing and ability to be successful. Pokedex:
Blacklist
These Pokemon have been brought up multiple times for discussion with the same arguments or are just awful. A type can be blacklisted if it is an extreme circumstance. If anyone talks about a Pokemon that is blacklisted your post will be deleted and or infracted.

( +0 / +50 / +10 / +10 / +30 / +0 ) Don't worry I will provide code for this if it wins Weight:
Height:
Gender:
Egg Group(s):
Competitive Use: Gourgeist can now be used as a proper tank, able to actually do direct damage to enemy pokemon that it doesn't hit super effectively, and gaining Fire Blast as a viable coverage move. Even without any investment, the super forme has 336 Atk and 344 SpA, and can choose from Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, and Fire Blast as attacking moves. The small forme may actually be worth using too, as it retains a massive SpA and gains useable speed, while using Pain Split with high defenses. Is it Broken?: I assume Grass/Ghost is not the most profitable type in mono-type, if it had the unique honor of being on the blacklist. It does have a lot of weaknesses, and not too much Speed, so it should be manageable. Pokedex:
(clique + cicada) Abilities: Mega Launcher Base Stats: 61/97/47/131/47/107 (490 BST) Useful Moves:
Physical: U-Turn, Rapid Spin Special: Bug Buzz, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam Status: Quiver Dance, Taunt, Roost Sprite: Pheromosa but its antenna are cannons Weight: 25 kg (55 lbs) Competitive Use: It is a great revenge killer both on Bug and Fighting, having a great Special Attack stat along with Mega Launcher. Is it Broken?: Its speed still loses to Lati@s, Kartana, and the Swords of Justice mons, and its bulk is terrible, which prevents it from switching in without slow pivot support.
(entomon + terra) Abilities: Swarm / Sand Veil / Storm Drain Base Stats: 80/110/90/110/90/100 (580 BST) Useful Moves:
Physical: U-Turn, Lunge, Earthquake, Rock Slide Special: Bug Buzz, Earth Power, Focus Blast, Giga Drain, Boomburst Status: Defog, Tailwind Sprite: Flygon but more lime green Weight: 15 kg (33 lbs) Competitive Use: It is a great addition to Ground teams, serving as a much-needed Water check, hazard control, and special wallbreaker. Is it Broken?: Its speed and bulk are middling, and it is hard-walled by Flying types on the special side. It also has no recovery.
(sludge + lizard) Abilities: Sap Sipper / Hydration / Oozing (Ground-type Heatproof clone) Base Stats: 80/100/70/110/120/50 (530 BST) Useful Moves:
Physical: Dragon Hammer, Poison Jab, Earthquake Special: Sludge Bomb, Draco Meteor, Flamethrower Status: Strength Sap, Toxic Spikes, Toxic Sprite: Goodra but it's magenta Weight: 150 kg (330 lbs) Competitive Use: It is a great asset to both Poison and Dragon, being a special wall that isn't weak to Ground on Poison or weak to Fairy on Dragon. Is it Broken?: It is passive and very slow, and has subpar physical bulk.
(gryphon + android) Abilities: Battle Armor Base Stats: 95/95/95/95/95/45 (520 BST) (no eviolite) Useful Moves:
Physical: Iron Head, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Flame Charge, U-Turn Special: Draco Meteor, Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam Status: Swords Dance, Thunder Wave, Roar Sprite: Armored Type: Null Weight: 120 kg (265 lbs) Competitive Use: It is a great mixed tank, having good coverage on both physical and special. Is it Broken?: It is incredibly slow and has no reliable forms of recovery, causing it to become easily chipped. If it runs Rest, it suffers from 4MSS.
Abilities: White Smoke / Gluttony / Drought Base Stats: 75/80/70/110/80/85 (500 BST) Useful Moves:
Physical:
Special: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Earth Power, Focus Blast, Solar Beam Status: Spikes, Will-o-Wisp Sprite: Heatmor but Weight: 58 kg (128 lbs) Competitive Use: It is a great addition to both Fire and Ground teams, setting Spikes and sun for Volcarona to sweep for the former while functioning as a Ground-breaker that also resets sand for the latter. Is it Broken?: It has an underwhelming speed tier for a wallbreaker and has weak mixed bulk. It also has no way of boosting itself and has a shallow special movepool, leaving it completely walled by Lati@s.
(C rank on Dark, unranked on Flying) Abilities: Aerilate Base Stats: 100/145(+20)/82(+30)/105/92(+40)/81(+10) Useful Moves:
Physical: Frustration, Facade, Quick Attack, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Superpower Special: Heat Wave Status: Taunt, Roost, Defog Sprite: Honchkrow but its wings have cool designs idk Weight:
Competitive Use: Mega Honchkrow is a great wallbreaker on both Dark and Flying, providing an extremely powerful Frustration combined with Sucker Punch as a revenge killer. Is it Broken?: It is very slow, has no way to boost itself, and has middling defenses.
Ability: Iron Fist/ Swarm/ Prankster Base stats: 90/55/100/120/120/45 (530) Useful Moves
Physical: NaN Special: Aura Sphere, Bug Buzz, Flamethrower, Buzz Bomb, Focus Blast Status: Nasty Plot, Hypnosis, Roost
Buzz Bomb: Special, 130 BP, 90 acc, 5pp, Lowers Special Attack by two stages after use. Sprite: Ledian colored grey Weight: 74 lbs, 33.6 kg Gender: 50%Female, 50%Male Competitive use: Gives Fighting Teams a bulky special attacker that can spread status with Toxic and Hypnosis and eases the matchup VS Psychic teams with its good special bulk and access to special Bug STAB. On Bug Teams it faces competition from other special attackers (such as Volcarona) but manages to carve a niche with Prankster and great access to Buzz Bomb, which when backed up by STAB and a Nasty Plot boost can really bring the pain to teams that dont resist it(and even some that do). Is it broken?: It is very, very slow, and has no physical movepool to speak off. This results in it being hard-walled by Chansey and Florges and the like, and despite solid bulk and access to reliable recovery may find itself whittled down easily.
Ability: Thick Fat/ Shell Armor Base stats: 85/80/130/80/124/101 (600) Useful Moves
Physical: Knock Off, Dragon Tail, Megahorn, Earthquake Special: Earth Power, Bug Buzz Status: Shore Up, Stockpile, Sticky Web, Spikes, Heal Bell Sprite: Whirlipede colored green Weight: 134 lbs, 60.8 kg Gender: 80%Female, 20%Male Competitive use: Bug Teams get access to a bulky pokemon with good defensive typing (especially in conjunction with Thicc Fat) that can also act as a cleric in a pinch with Heal Bell. It phases well with Dragon Tail, although it is generally horribly walled by most Fairy Types if not carrying Earthquake (Which a lot of the time it wont find space for). Sticky Web is phenomenal and a bulky user of it that can set it multiple times a match should shake up the meta quite a bit. On Ground Teams, nothing else has its unique combination of Phazing and Cleric duties alongside its unique(amongst ground types) access to Sticky Web, carving it out a definite niche for balance and even HO teams with its access to Spikes. Is it broken?: It is painfully weak. Alongside that, it is very passive and has severe 4MSS, as it wants to fit all of Knock Off/Dragon Tail/Shore Up/Spikes/Sticky Web/Heal Bell/Earthquake on one set. As such, its solid STAB in Earthquake and Megahorn are likely to be ignored, which may result in it being hardwalled by Steel Types, which it cannot toxic up on, and Fairy Types, which can often hit it for strong nuetral damage and may overwhelm it despite amazing 80/130/124 bulk.
Ability: Corrosion/ Guts/ Strong Jaw Base stats: 87/140/60/80/40/123 (600) Useful Moves
Physical: Knock Off, Facade, Outrage, Dragon Claw, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Crunch Special: NaN Status: Coil Sprite: Seviper colored pink Weight: 123.6 lbs, 50.1 kg Gender: Genderless Competitive use: This is a fast, physically strong dragon type that manages to set itself apart from the competition by a titanic attack stat backed up by Guts. Due to how hard it hits, it can even choose to forgo Guts and use Corrosion to poison problematic Steel teams for Dragon. Strong Jaw is probably the weakest of its three abilities, but manages to boost Fire Fang to very appreciable levels.
On Poison teams, Vishaper is by far one of the fastest and most powerful wallbreakers the type has. It can even use Coil to boost its attack, although it wishes it had Swords Dance or even Dragon Dance since its bulk it too pathetic to take advantage of Coils defense boosts. On Poison Team it can use Corrosion or Strong Jaw to ease the matchup vs steel, but its unlikely to go that way as Guts Outrage + Gunk Shot just kills so much of the metagame. Is it broken?: Not quite. Its bulk is, as mentioned, pathetic. Any attack will take it out, and Vishaper has no immunities to hide behind and is weak to Ice Shard. True, it resists a lot of common priority moves, but there are always bulky steel types that can take a hit from the Guts variants and kill it with ease. The Corrosion and Strong Jaw variants are generally much easier to handle. Fairy Types can revenge kill a Vishaper locked into Outrage quite well.
Rivitorus, the Steam-Driven Pokemon
Abilities: Levitate / Sheer Force / Clear Body
Base stats:
HP: 90
Atk: 120
Def: 110
SpA: 32
SpD: 76
Spe: 82
Total: 510
Physical moves: Bullet Punch, Iron Head, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Rock Slide, Poison Jab, Knock Off, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Power-Up Punch, Gear Grind, Outrage, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Dragon Tail Special moves: Is a physical attacker, so it wouldn't run special moves Status moves: Swords Dance, Roost, Shift Gear, Dragon Dance, Hone Claws, Will-o-Wisp, Spikes, Defog
Sprite: A mechanical, Steampunk Version of Aerodactyl, with Bisharp's arms in gunmetal/ bronze. The insides of the wings turn Dark red, as do the eyes, and puffs of steam are coming out of the back of the head and back, and gears run along its body..
Weight: 549.3lbs, 249.2kg
Gender: 50% male, 50% female
Competitive use: Rivitorus helps Dragon teams out by providing a neutrality to Fairy and Dragon, and is a sweeper that can punish Fairy teams with its STAB Steel moves, or powerful coverage moves. For Steel teams, a immunity to Ground moves with levitate, and a neutrality to Fire, as well as outspeeding most 'mons of these typings after a Shift Gear really help Steel teams. It can also try to be a utility 'mon, but that isn't suggested.
Is it broken?: Without boosts, Rivitorus is slow, and it has poor special bulk.
EDIT: lowered speed

Charizard-Alola, the Flame Pokemon
Abilities: Blaze / Sand Rush
Base stats:
HP: 78
Atk: 109
Def: 78
SpA: 84
SpD: 80
Spe: 100
Total: 530
Physical moves: All of Charizard's regular moves minus Fly, Sky Drop, and Wing Attack. Poison Jab, Stomping Tantrum, And Bonemarang are added Special moves: All of Charizard's regular moves minus Air Slash and Air Cutter. Earth Power and Grass Knot are added Status moves: All of Charizard's regular moves minus Roost. Shore Up is Added
Sprite: Charizard's Belly Turns Dark Tan, and Dark Tan patterns are all over its body. It Loses its wings, and are replaced with Crystal Spikes.
Weight: 199.5lbs, 90.5kg
Gender: 87.5% male,12.5% female
Competitive use: Charizard-Alola is outclassed on Fire teams. However on Ground teams, it becomes a dangerous cleaner with Sand Rush against types that normally beat Ground teams like Grass and Ice.
Is it broken?: While its speed is blisteringly fast under sand, Charizard's attack stats are very mediocre, as are its defense stats.
Ability: Rough Skin / Sheer Force / Filter (HA) Base stats: 77 / 130 / 90 / 60 / 95 / 33 [485 BST] Useful Moves - Based on Druddigon's movepool, new moves have an asterisk Physical: Bullet Punch*, Iron Head, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Aqua Tail, Dragon Tail, Fire Punch, Crunch, Brick Break, Heavy Slam*, Sucker Punch Special: None Status: Taunt, Glare, Stealth Rock, Roost*, Curse*, Rock Polish*/Autotomize*, Toxic, Roar, Swords Dance* Sprite: Druddigon but metallic gray with a blue head Weight: 612.8 lbs (277.96 kg) Gender: 50.0% Male, 50.0% Female Size: 5' 3'' (1.6 m) Egg Group(s): Dragon and Monster Competitive use: Alolan Druddigon gives Dragon another measure of defense against the dreaded Fairy-types of the world while having reliable recovery and hazard setting. Think of it as a slightly worse Dragon Scizor with Stealth Rock and Glare instead of Defog or U-Turn. Swords Dance or Curse sets can sweep with Bullet Punch, Defensive sets have Roost to heal with, defensive Curse set up, and Stealth Rock, Glare, and Roar as support moves.
Defensive
Druddigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Filter
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Glare
- Iron Head
- Roost
OO: Roar, Heavy Slam, Earthquake
Is it broken?: Alolan Druddigon has abysmal speed and a good typing that still leaves it vulnerable to common Fighting and Ground-type coverage moves and generally has to take a hit or rely on Bullet Punch or Sucker Punch to do things. Also, offensive sets can easily get walled by the right Steel-type (depending on the coverage ran), Electric-type (also depending on the coverage ran), and Water-types. Pokedex:
Ultra Sun: Forced deep into the caves of Alola by increasing competition near cave entrances, Druddigons started reinforcing their limbs will steel as a measure of defense. Ultra Moon: Druddigons in Alola rarely venture out of their deep cave dwellings. When they do, smaller Pokemon often flee immediately in fear.
