Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD (or more defensive spread if needed
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Geomancy / Calm Mind (if you run calm mind just use Leftovers as item)
- Moonblast
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Well, that's a set I used to spam a lot on the anything goes Gen6 ladder in my young age. First of all this set became obsolete whit the gen7 but still has a niche and may surprise time to time.

So it's the same principle as for other Geomancy sets of Xern, just click on the move, then spam Moonblast. But this set allows Xerneas to stay alive longer thanks to rest and easily deal whit moves like Toxic or t wave. Unfort' since the gen7 and the emergence of Necrozma and the rise of Poison and steel ceus it became a bit hard to apply it effectively.
You can also switch Geomancy whit Calm Mind but I do no find it's really useful in the current metagame where you need to ser up relatively fast especially whit Xern'.

Finally what I really like in this set it's its spread versatility. If you need a defensive mon, you can use a defensive spread like 248hp 252 Def, if you need a sweeper just use the same spread as I proposed.

Silent Mobius

Banned deucer.
First Blood.
Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVS: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Substitute
- Ingrain/Calm Mind

Ever get sick of those annoying nuisances we call Smeargle? Tired of getting phazed by pdon, ho-oh or arceus? Leech seed from ferro or cele causing issues? Worried about status? Now you won't with Xerneas's ability to substitute to avoid status and ingrain to laugh in the face of those annoying phazers. Alternatively, if phazers are not an issue for you, insert calm mind to deal with those annoying Chansey or Blissey confides. Max speed neutral nature will allow Xerneas to speed tie modest yveltal at worst and insure it outspeeds + scarf Mega Ray.

Xerneas @ Psychium Z
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Thunder
- Gravity

Gravity isn't all that great of a mechanic and has long outlived its glory days (if you can even call it that) from DPP and BW. At first Xerneas getting Gravity doesn't seem overly helpful. It improves the accuracy of Focus Blast and Thunder which is nice, and when boosted by its Z Crystal it can 2HKO offensive variants of Necrozma-DM. However, Xerneas still draws in Steel- and Poison-types such as Celesteel, Necrozma-DM, Magearna, and Arceus-Poison though. But here's the thing. What beats Steel- and Poison-types? Ground-types! And what Pokemon benefit the most offensively from Gravity? Ground-types! In doing so Xerneas doesn't even have to use the Z variant of Gravity immediately, but is rather able to support its teammates such as Arceus-Ground.

Xerneas @ Leftovers
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Rest
- Moonblast
- Toxic/ aromatherapy/ sleep talk

I am too lazy to write anything so here is what the ubers analysis says

  • This set seeks to utilize Defog on Xerneas in applications where more staying power is required, thus allowing it to remove entry hazards several times in a match if needed.
  • Rest eliminates the possibiltiy of being stalled out via Toxic and grants the staying power needed.
  • Moonblast is backed by STAB and Fairy Aura, nothing is immune to it, and it functions well as the sole attack for this set.
  • Toxic is nice for stalling out some Stealth Rock setters and punishing non-Steel-type switch-ins.
  • Cleric support via Aromatherapy is invaluable for defensive teams, especially those that lack good status sponges.
  • Sleep Talk can be used to ensure that Xerneas isn't completely immobile during sleep turns.

Xerneas @ Leftovers
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Toxic
- Substitute
- Moonblast

An introduction to Xerneas :

It was a really big and memorable Pokemon back when it was released in Gen 6 and had a huge impact on the metagame with its many sets that could plague the competitive aspect with its diverse movepool and Geomancy that could scare off a team without a dedicated answer to it.

The Bomb

This set right here is an attempt to wield two status effects, one that cripples the opponents speed and one that acts as long term pressure.
Substitute here can be used to catch players off guard so it can wreck havoc with either one of its two status moves or hit Moonblast to deal damage boosted by its Fairy Aura.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post :)

Xerneas @ Electrium Z
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 96 HP / 252 SpA / 160 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunder
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy

This set generally acts to lure common "checks" to Xern such as Dm, Mage and Ho-oh I generally like to pair it with something like cm refresh flying/cm refresh dark in general just something that benefits from what it can lure in.

+1 252+ SpA Xerneas Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Magearna: 219-258 (60.1 - 70.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252+ SpA Xerneas Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 226-267 (56.7 - 67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252+ SpA Xerneas Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 311-366 (92.5 - 108.9%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO

+1 252+ SpA Xerneas Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 52 SpD Ho-Oh: 442-522 (106.2 - 125.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery
