Hi I totally got distracted and then took a 3 hour nap.
But uh, that second line makes perfect sense. I feel like I'm starting to forget most of d1 tho so I think I need to read back and eventually make a reads list because I've yet to make a very strong one.
As of right now, I thought Clarinet was incredibly scummy due to the softing thing but I guess I can totally see his POV as a townie. "They think I softed so maybe I'll get NK'd instead of a PR" but if you want to self preserve I don't see why you'd want to do that. The whole softclaim thing is incredibly confusing and I'm not sold either way yet, but all your posts today make me think you're less scummy.
While I think Clarinet could have a point about Athena being indecisive etc. scum, I still townread Athena. I think that _he_ comes off incredibly factual, and tries his best to work around his lack of meta with most players. I don't have anyone left in the game I can strong meta besides Hal, so I can almost see Athena's POV now.
I know how hypocritical this is, but I'd love to see more from Whydon and ZOL. Which, why wasn't ZoL subbed out? Only thing I can think of is he's been speaking to the host saying he's around and intentionally ghosting, otherwise Fenrir 100% would have subbed him for his like, what, 1-4 posts D1?
As for Hal, I don't have MUCH to meta off him, but based on my small meta understanding and all of his posts d1 I think he's one of my towniest reads. He's genuinely trying to help gamesolve, which isn't a town indicator of it's own, but he's trying his best whenever he CAN be around given his awful timezone (sorry buddy). Otherwise I seriously think this is still mostly a gut read. Last game he was super aggro and gamesolvy but he also said he would be diff this game due to bad timezone so I'm not sure how much I can go off that.
As for Dusk, he seems almost relaxed in how he's playing? I've never seen him play before besides turbos and I don't think that should be a direct relation but something just rubs me the wrong way. Going to scumlean him for now and iso him when I wake up tomorrow.
Caffeine looks terrible after yesterday. Coming in today and ignoring everything Clarinet said and just strictly posting about the setup isn't helping him, but I think he also didn't have time so we'll see how much more he posts tomorrow.
Samoyed is a similarly weird spot for me. He spammed my posts with :angry: emotes when I tried to defend M2H yesterday which actually makes me think he's townie but also a scum could just do that for towncred so nothing strong with that. He's been helping out a decent amount and doesn't seem to second guess himself, he seems, like Clarinet, very spontaneous, like he barely thinks about his posts. Might just be a personal style but it's reminescent of town and not lying (or he's just really fkn good idk).
Uh I want to play stardew so I'm going to stop there. May have missed people idk (sorry if I did)
I like this a lot. I think a lot of your reads feel like, concrete and evidence based as opposed to all the meta reads (not you but others) did day 1.
