Crisis in CK9++ City [Serial Killer Wins]

I can’t see somi as mafia. If you’re going to axe a teammate day 1 you need to get something out of it. I don’t think the mafia committed early to that vote and there was plenty of time for somi or someone else to move the lynch elsewhere. Doesn’t really feel to me like somi has tried to bank off that vote

The problem is that if heury is actually town, mafia might leave him be so we'd get all suspicious D3 and the whole thing turns into so much wine.

And how does that explain voting cancerous, who broke the tie near the end of D1?

Is this your way of saying "look at me, I'm not in the scum chat?"

That is rich coming from you. But yeah, I'm having a little trouble summoning the effort required for this game, sue me.

I will get back to this, but I have to look back on how the votes progressed. I'm not sure how much sense it makes for Heal to bus last second, but I can see mafia doing it in the hopes of gaining some town-cred. "Would mafia do this?" usually boils down to wine anyway.
well at least we can agree that I’m not to blame for distracting you

It's also how scumhunting works in general. I think a better move for scum!Heal in that position would be to do nothing and I don't see scum!Heal risking the wine that does come with being a last second vote in general.

I disagree. It looks infinitely worse to be on an off wagon afk user when you know the other option is flipping mafia

Heal wasn't present at EoD until he made that last vote though, so couldn't he just not do anything and then come into the next day like "Hey nice, a scum lynch" and reference the suspicion he had there?

I guess what I'm suggesting is that scum!Heal would be too self-conscious about the timing of that vote when he'd been absent from EoD up to that point. Being on the inactive counterwagon and switching last second both look bad, but the latter looks worse. Might be projecting my own playstyle here.

JALMONT [4] - Panic Station, JALMONT, heuryalone, somitomi
somitomi [2] - U-Turn Out, Fenrir Aesir
heuryalone [1] - Cancerous
Fenrir Aesir [1] - Thunder~BALLZ
Cancerous [1] - smogon account

Think this is accurate. Hammer is 6.

maybe I’d agree but heal isn’t exactly a self conscious person and I think this is something he would have been well capable to be aware of and do. I think most people’s tendencies and certainly mine are to look off wagon after a successful lynch. In this case we have an adjacent wagon that could’ve taken on steam but for whatever reason didn’t and that’s particularly intriguing because it suggests it isn’t just one person’s misplaced vote.

And uh I already made a post explaining what happened during the last vote, not sure why it's being relitigated again but if you want to know anything else, I'm here to answer questions.

Missed this, mb. The problems I have with somi stem mostly from his posts individually as opposed to his interactions with Clarinet, but I'll give somi's Clarinet vote another look.

I'm sorry but uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

this is just so laughably false in every possible way.

It felt like it had steam to me in that some people (off the top of my head Mikey) were still advocating for it. I don't follow what you're implying with "it isn’t just one person’s misplaced vote", do you think Day 1 ended with scum/scum wagons?

I guess wrt to somi is that I can’t see this mafia team being all that impressive or even coordinated in the slightest so it’s possible that looking at posts makes more sense that trying to explain the why behind the posting

doubt it, think it’s a pretty good read on my part. And I’m assuming you’re only talking about the first sentence. If you’re contesting the entire thing then we’ll by definition you’re sort of proving the main point I was trying to make (the first sentence)

not really that interested in having this discussion regardless

Legit if anyone more familiar with the site meta can tell me, I don't get the fixation on searching for potential bussing/pairs before people in those pairs flip. Is that generally a prevalent thing or am I right to start looking into that method as potentially AI?

Before both people flip or after one flips scum? Because examining flipped scum for associations is a scumhunting tool.

I feel like it was sorta a bit wtf moment... like what did either or jalmont or panic gain through their exchange?

What I got from it was upgrading my read on him from "VT or jerk scum" to "SK or scum". He's veering away from doing anything that could indicate a Townie alignment and his rebuttal of the case reads like he's mad about getting caught for the wrong reasons.
