Tbh though I like meta. Its the only way mafia really works for me. It doesn't make sense to treat everybody the same when people have different tics and the only way to learn them is through observation and interaction. :blobshrug:

wut about players who you really can't get meta reads off of?

I say this because I can't ever really meta read you. But like there's never any reason for me to not jump inside your big pockets.

I think some combination of mathematical probability + meta + reading motivation is what the best reads are.

The latter is what I do on DS and I can read him pretty well sometimes. I just kinda... try to figure out how he's interacting with my slot and what his behavior accomplishes. Sometimes I can catch him doing stuff that doesn't seem beneficial from a town mindset ie; pushing me as scum while also trying really hard to convince me not to vote him.

While I can't justify Clarinet's actions, I can justify my conclusion given that Clarinet literally specified somebody rolecop me, which suggested to me that there was a rolecop on the scum team because otherwise Clarinet would probably have said "cop"

Way to misrepresent what was said. It was less "hmmmmmmm butta the guy justa said de wurd rolecoppp" and more
"Okay that did seem like a town reaction, maybe I got this wro- nm he just slipped lmao".
Idk how you'd take that away from what was being said.

Just gonna put this joke vote here for now. I'll get to actual reads once I've done some studying.
Gut feel is Haruno rn. Sheeping isn't exactly scummy but I have the feeling Haruno is buddying with M2H.
 
Then again M2H is a case I'm torn on as well. On one hand, that's a very reasonable conclusion to arrive at using just the Clarinet flailing as a reasoning and I kinda think reading into that is town. On the other hand, maybe youuuu are scum
