All right, we're almost done with Monohm and Duohm! :) We have dex entries to go for now. We will make movepools after we update CAP final evolutions with Isle of Armor tutor moves. You are not required to submit Pokedex entries for both members.

Remember that these Pokedex entries must be done in the style of D/P/Pt! This means that the word and character limits must match those from those games, and Pokemon names must be in all capital letters. Otherwise, we will be using modern Pokedex Submission rules.

For reference, here are Cyclohm's Pokedex entries, courtesy of G-Luke:

Cyclohm, the Cyclone Pokémon

Diamond: CYCLOHM is very temperamental. Its tumultuous roars are often mistaken for torrential thunderstorms.

Pearl: Its heads are at constant war with each other. During fights, they can turn a sunny sky into a surging storm.

Platinum: A single lightning strike from it can level a building. It will often strike the same place thrice.
You will have 72 hours to make your final submissions!

Legal Pokedex submissions must meet the following standards:
  • Species Names cannot be over 11 characters.
  • Pokedex Entries must have flawless grammar. Smogon has a Grammar & Prose team that will help identify mistakes.
  • Pokedex Entries cannot be longer than 23 words and cannot be over 109 characters.
  • Pokedex Entries can only contain the following characters:
    • Letters A-Z
    • Numbers 0-9
    • Dash (-)
    • Apostrophe (')
    • Double quote (")
    • Period (.)
    • Comma (,)
    • Colon (:)
    • Semi-colon (;)
    • Space
Work In Progress (WIP) Pokedex Entries can be posted at any time for comments from the community.

No more than three WIP Pokedex Entries can be posted by any individual person through the entire course of the submission thread. This limit applies to ALL posts made by a single person, even if previous posts are edited or deleted. This limit is intended to curb the tendency for some submitters to spam the thread repeatedly with multiple Pokedex Entries. This detracts from other submissions and makes it difficult for commenters to survey the submission thread.

Do not bump your WIP Pokedex Entries by posting them repeatedly, or making minor wording changes. Bumping will result in the disqualification of all Pokedex Entries by the offender. Editing or deleting bump posts will not prevent disqualification.

Only ONE Final Submission can be made per person.

Pokedex entries Final Submissions must posted exactly in the following format and in the following exact order:
  • The first line of the post must have the words "Final Submission" in bold on its own line. No other text may be included before the bold heading.
  • A blank line
  • "<Pokémon Name>, the <Species Name> Pokémon", with the Pokemon name and the Species Name in bold
  • A blank line
  • The Diamond Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Diamond" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Pearl Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Pearl" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Platinum Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Platinum" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
Below the Final Submission you can post other comments, explanations, etc.

Example final submission:

Final Submission

Kricketune
, the Cricket Pokémon

Diamond: It crosses its knifelike arms in front of its chest when it cries. It can compose melodies ad lib.

Pearl: It signals its emotions with its melodies. Scientists are studying these melodic patterns.

Platinum: There is a village that hosts a contest based on the amazingly variable cries of this Pokémon.

Any Final Submission that does not follow the proper format will be disqualified.

WIP

Monohm
, the Cumulus Pokémon

Diamond: During humid weather, MONOHM can be found wandering about, absorbing moisture to grow the cloud on its body.

Pearl: The cloud covering its body is very sensitive. When touched, it darkens and releases an electric shock.

Platinum: It is mesmerized by thunderstorms. It will become depressed if it's forced to stay inside during one.

Duohm, the Nimbus Pokémon

Diamond: Its heads normally fight with each other, but when they work together, they can cause formidable storms.

Pearl:
DUOHM is very easily angered. Even a slight inconvenience can lead to it going on a stormy rampage.

Platinum: Its second head was born from excess electricity. Both heads have completely different personalities.

Final Submission

Monohm
, the Cloud Pokémon

Diamond: This Pokémon is happiest during the rain. It will often gaze into the stormy sky.

Pearl: MONOHM's clouds are soft to the touch, but it is dangerous to do so, as you may get a shock!

Platinum: It absorbs moisture from the air to form its cloud. The larger the cloud, the drier the air around it.

Duohm, the Storm Pokémon

Diamond: Having not yet mastered its power, its attempts at starting storms often end up causing weather blocks.

Pearl: It grew a second head to help control its energy. Unfortunately, it led to each head fighting for dominance.

Platinum: DUOHM is a very territorial Pokémon. It hurls lightning and hail at whomever wanders into its domain.

Monohm
, the Cloud Pokémon

Diamond: A MONOHM's roar is little more than a squeak. If you hear it, pretend it was like thunder.

Pearl: MONOHM have extremely soft wool, so much so that it's like a cloud to the touch.

Platinum: The wool on its body is capable of storing charge, so be careful when shearing.

Duohm, the Stormfront Pokémon

Diamond: The growth of a second head led early humans to curse this Pokémon. We know better now.

Pearl: DUOHM anger easily. Their thunderous tempers build like storms on the horizon.

Platinum: Research has found similarities in DNA between DUOHM and DODUO. Some believe DODUO has a previous evolution.

WIP

Monohm
, the Cirrus Pokémon

Diamond: MONOHM can sometimes be seen on MAREEP farms, attempting to steal their static electricity.

Pearl: MONOHM stores moisture and electricity to prepare for evolution. It has trouble controlling it, though.

Platinum: Wild MONOHM are often seen fighting for territory. The winner gets access to the resources in the area.

--

Duohm, the Cumulus Pokémon

Diamond: DUOHM is aggressive and territorial, but frequently loses fights due to a lack of synergy between its heads.

Pearl: Its aggressive temperament has only grown with evolution, shocking those who touch it with deadly force.

Platinum: It hunts during humid weather. The heads bicker over what direction to go in, with often explosive results.

Diamond: Its heads normally fight with each other, but when they work together, they're a force to be reckoned with.

Pearl: DUOHM has a very stormy temperament. During its rampages, it can create localized-yet-powerful thunderstorms.

Platinum: Its second head was born from excess electricity. Both heads have completely different personalities.

Final Submission

Monohm
, the Cloud Pokémon

Diamond: MONOHM is protected by the thick cloud that covers its body. It is charged with static.

Pearl: The crackle of static in its coat has a comforting effect on those who hear it.

Platinum: It leaves a puddle of water behind it as it walks. Scientists believe the amount is dependent on the weather.

Duohm, the Storm Pokémon

Diamond: Its two heads have a foul temper. They only ever agree when they are charging at foes.

Pearl: DUOHM's thick coat can repel any blow. Touching it without protection will give you a shock.

Platinum: You can hear a flock of DUOHM wandering through their fields from a mile away. It rumbles like thunder.
