Concerning Substitutions: At any point in time during the week, a team may make a substitution for an inactive player. In order to do this, a manager must post in the thread, tagging the hosts, the opposing managers and the opposing player stating which player is substituting out, and which player is substituting in. A player that has substituted out for a week cannot be substituted back in. In addition, in order to catch any attempts at garnering favorable matchups (where the lineup you choose affects pairings), all substitutions are subject to veto by the hosts if the substitution is suspected to be attempting to “game” the system.

Monopoke additionally does not count for Weekly Standings, its purely a for-fun slot. I'll update the players for slots when they get chosen, for those without players immediately.

With this series, I rank the accuracy of all prediction posts made for PL V. They are ranked based on the total % of correct predictions. If you are a player, predictions made for one's own team will not count (So people who say 8-0 ez can be included in this), with the total percent being tiebroken by the percent correct from what you predicted (i.e. not counting matches a person abstained from predicting on). I would say Aliss has been getting a lot better at preview picks, so I'm feeling Waylaid'll need to go back to his more lure-y building style in order to make up that difference and maybe have an edge here, since I don't think going in and hoping to win 3 50/50s is going to do well here.

Her picking would've been decent if she was facing the sets she is used to face, but afaik dogknees is getting Bopher support so I'm expecting some heat.

SS Bo7: Nalei vs dogknees (51-49) - one bad loss doesn't make anyone a bad player and I expect Nalei to come back with a vengeance much like Denis. Dogknees is more than good enough to take this so I'm looking forward to this one.
SS Bo5: Rellia vs Murman0064 (60-40) - Murman needs to get out of his own head. I know that's harsh but he's more than competent enough to take wins this pl if he just sorts it out upstairs. I haven't seen any indication that he will though and Relia already has a w under his belt so he gets the bold
SS Bo5: Adela vs Itchyfoot (65-35) - Itchy was pretty unlucky vs Nar last week but Adela wasn't exactly blessed by rng last week either and looked more solid vs a better oppo.
SM Bo5: Rosa vs Boat (55-45) - Rosa has finally extricated herself from the bw slot but unfortunately it has come at the cost of 2-0 Frosty. Rosa will probably be pretty desperate not to go 0-X as a manager considering how well her name lends itself to jokes about that. Boat apparently plays tour games at 4am which I cannot abide. Frosty would have won 3000% btw free my mans.
SM Bo5: UBERLandon21 vs Akumajou (55-45) - Like Nalei, one L doesn't make Akuma bad but the questions around his support haven't gone away. I'd still bold him vs most players but this is potentially the hardest game to bounce back in. The list of people I'd bold vs Landon is very short and considering that he beat one of them week 1, it's very hard to not go for Landon here. I expect this to be close though.
ORAS Bo5: bea vs OM (40-60)- Bea has been pretty bad so far, OM has been perfectly competent.
BW Bo5: alive vs Krytocon (50-50) - neither of these teams bought a bw main when my mans THIS MACHINE was right there in the pool smdh. Anyway I have literally nothing to go on here, neither has played and the players they're replacing were both 0-2 so their support is questionable too. Fuck this, I flipped a coin.
DPP Bo5: Inkreativ vs Euphonos (55-45) - Ink has been dominant so far, euph got pretty lucky beating fan. Euph winning is by no means out of the question but I'm not betting against ink until he gives me a reason to.
Monopoke: Bea vs Quantum Tessaract (55-45) - Bea's sets were pretty meh last week but I'm not convinced qt can even win in monopoke tbh

SS Bo7: BlanchedAlmond vs Here Comes Team Charm! (40-60) - I love a good ladder goon showdown. Hctc beat an off colour Denis and then lost to Dogknees so they've had a mixed bag so far. I don't have much to go on with Blanch tho and while Bopher prep can definitely swing this in their favour I'm gonna go with the safer pick.

Tears is definitely able to take this but Denis seems really determined to put up another outstanding team tour record after a frustrating week 1. Real HL this, looking forward to it.
SS Bo5: smely socks vs zio (45-55) - another one I'm looking forward to, these two are very familiar with each others styles and team building choices which makes for a super interesting game. Zio is the goat tho and smely keeps removing :sunglas:

SM Bo5: Grain2Sel vs Satanic Beast (40-60) - this is an upset based on their records but g2s teams have been hella exploitable and while edgar only has four braincells, even he should be able to cteam this man.
SM Bo5: Tol vs Freddy Kyogre (35-65) - 9k tol, finally back in his comfort zone where he knows what mons run Aqua Jet and how many mons to bring. However he still has pretty meh support and idt James is capable of stopping him from bringing specs gyara. Freddy is competent and has played as such.
ORAS Bo5: Finchinator vs DezShizzels (45-55) - how are either of these guys 2-0 smh, dez will choke 2 games but win the other three.

Monopoke: Leru vs Ryenix (70-30) - I'm pretty sure leru has more lines in my monopoke channel than in his own teamcord so I trust him to win this as long as he doesn't let his teammates build for him (rest mareanie is not it lads). Thwackeys monopoke sets have high key sucked, sorry Rye
