NOC Bigvivor Mafia Game Thread Day 5

this was like my first thought when i saw the flips. how exactly does the mafia like organize their kills? is there like ONE specific person who is delegated with the task of killing, and so because they were in one group, the other group had no one to kill?

usually they send out a representative to do a factional kill, afaik everyone has the ability to

it’s possible that they had two factional kills with the split

Ayia

Celever
Clouds
Da Letter El
Dave
Drookez
Dyo
Haruno
M2H
Laurel

Right.

If (IF) Clouds and Drookez aren't scumbuds openwolf trolling then we have

Ayia
CaffeineBoost
Celever
Da Letter El
Dave
Dyo
Haruno
M2H
Laurel

Think we all agree it makes little sense for me or M2H to do this kill (and I'll take Haruno off they're dead)

Ayia
CaffeineBoost
Da Letter El
Dave
Dyo
Laurel

I legit think Dave is likelier to kill DLE based on the discussion we've had prior so? And DLE I think kills me or Caff 90% of the time so

Ayia
CaffeineBoost
Dyo
Laurel

For me this is where we shoot today and I'm at peace with that. I like Dyo's explanations and think that they are reasonably rational and certainly well constructed on the fly.

There are 3 theories for the others:
1) Ayia saw the speculation about Haruno and Texas possibly being 3p lovers or having really powerful abilities unlock when they meet each other, and paranoiacally shot Haruno just in case. The active posters hadn't yet really focussed on him so it made sense to leave Caff, Cel and M2H alive as they were distracted elsewhere, primarily each other. DLE, Dyo, and Dave had vote equity moving into today so shooting there is also bad for someone who doesn't know that both are experienced maf players and are just focussing on this game. Laurel and Haruno would be the only two viable shots for this slot taking that into account, and Laurel has also been shaded and been a relative non-factor up to this point.

2) Caffeine wanted to kill Haruno to stoke the fire of the power dynamics he set up yesterday. Caff heavily bought into Haruno's claim being legitimate and prob town, so saw this as a sensible shot as others would soon also consider Haruno town and that's bad in the lategame.

3) Laurel has come into the thread and justified why Haruno was a good kill himself. I disagree with his logic, but it shows he has that logic.

RN it's between Dyo and Ayia. I'm comfortable to Vote Ayia a LOT of people have said they think this slot is town for basically no reason too
I don’t really agree with this post btw

Yeah there’s scum in Group A but
-What ties Clouds and Drookez alignments, especially enough to remove them
-Why does Dave specifically kill DLE…? This is acting under assumption there’s also just one person here

for me I mean when you NK someone it’s usually bc they’re threatening/too unlynchable - main thing is idt Haruno was either of these things and depending on how maf could communicate, how they were split etc there could’ve been different reasons for why he died instead

So it’s really dependent on the theory behind “why was the split there”

Dyo kinda feels like when you voted Hydrogen anyway you thought Hal would be town regardless, so w that in mind not following why you picked hal

also why did you rolecop Clouds then?

I thought he would be town because it would be a really severe read what he did to Hydrogen. I thought and predicted after Hydrogen got voted and it was revealed he was town I could beat people to the punch and see his role pm before he could lie about it later. That explains the difference from what I said in post from what I ended up doing: the flip of Hydrogen made Hal eons more specific.

Clouds in my group seemed weird and sus during the last few pages of the day 2 discussion, and I wanted to follow trend consensus. I put in an earlier reply that I didn't really have too good of a choice within Loyalists because i didn't see too big of a consistent scum read as a consensus, so I did what was the most recent opinions and rolecop Clouds.

Vote Dyo

I currently believe this is the best candidate to have performed the nightkill
i literally rolecopped you let me do it so I don't look like a sham :psysad:

Is this enough time for someone to feel pressured into claiming btw

like 24 minutes one vote in (and also assuming at least one person scumteam coaching)

I had a response question to this but mainly the take is like “it didn’t feel like you should’ve rolecopprd Hal if you assumed he was scum”

do you feel like there’s an agenda vote on you rn
