NOC Werewolf Mafia - Game Over: Mafia Wins!

whydon has been a long time player and he is one of those people who always seems to be town, I actually can't remember if he's been scum but he's played longer than I have on smogon and he's very rarely put effort in and he's basically always been town though I'm not gonna gamblers fallacy, there's no reason to assume he wouldn't do this as town again

you may refer to my copy pasta about him earlier in the game
he was scum in big maf and he pretty much did the same thing he's doing now

I’m not threatened by you, I just like to talk about the setup. If you think I really am the SK you should vote me because getting rid of the SK on day 1is a town winning play. But then you’d have to believe that you can find the SK at a better than random chance. Maybe people believe that idk

I’m not worried about people “backstabbing” me. I think I present as fairly eccentric so presumably someone easy to vote but that seems like a common self-delusion so I don’t put too much stock into that.

Objectively speaking, I don’t think anyone’s sample size is large enough to definitively say they can catch a power role or mafia on day 1 better than random chance. Sorry!
The fact that I caught you so early should be enough to demonstrate that this is no mere chance. You say you aren’t threatened by me, but if you were the serial killer, who would you actually kill? If you were mafia, who would you kill? Surely someone here poses a threat to you and your safety, right? Who would that be? Who do you find threatening in the setup?

And again, maybe these questions will just confirm biasing me that you are looking at this game from a scum mindset, and not a town one. So, I suppose the only solution to this is to ask you this:
If you were in charge of the game, and could control whatever we did for the next three days during the day, what would you be doing? If someone is to die here, who do you want to kill and why?

JALMONT
Dusk pointed out that the guy was trying to signal to the mafia and I mostly ignored it, but then I actually reread their posts and I realized that it’s not the only time they have signaled that they are a serial killer this game, in fact they have done this multiple times and have advocated for actions that are anti-town and pro SK

A lot of people probably glossed over this, but there are only three power roles in the setup, not four, however there are indeed four scum in this setup, which makes me believe that they are actually a serial killer who was softing to the thread.
there's 4 scum???? I thought there were 3 scum

remember when Schia sk cased seon and then schia was mafia trying to eliminate an nk and seon was town mason
Don’t know what setup you are referring to, but in this setup in particular scum do not want a neutral killer execution early on as the power roles will cramp them into a box if there’s only one kill each night. I can assure you that if I was scum here I would not be picking this battle right now, ofc there’s no way to actually prove that unless you knew me.

I would RNG it. A close second would be to RNG it between a pre selected group of “experienced” players/have experienced success lately as per my first couple of posts.

we’d vote within the a group of people I already selected at least for today. I don’t think it’s really helpful to think about scenarios where I’m the king because it’s not realistic.

Just because it’s not reasltic, doesn’t mean that it isn’t helpful. My goal is to sort people and figure out their alignment, and one of my fondest memories was someone actually using this type of tactic against me when I was town in order to try to sort me, so I am going to be using it on you. I can assure you that I do not wish to actually execute you if you are town, and that by participating in my thought exercises you at least cannot hurt yourself.

So let’s go back to that group of people that you mentioned earlier. Gun to head, out of the group, who do you think you want to execute the most?

Currently trying to get drunk by myself, was doing laundry when I should’ve been preing smh

I agree with Jalmont’s assessment of SK’s place in this game. I think SK is more pro-town than it is anti because it should be targeting hard to solve slots as that increases the SK’s later game adaptability.

The reason, tho, that I think the case on Jalmont is reasonable is that if Jalmont is anything he’s hard to solve. I towncored him last game cos of LS’ interaction with him, which was correct, but his thread positioning this game makes that very unlikely

It’s a four way tie between the 13 point people in whatever number post I had. I’m an altruist and I’d like the people who are less experienced/have played the least most recently to go far in this game. I can take this position since I don’t think the early game matters :toast:

I
I said 4 because I forgot about the mayor and counted the two backups. I mean even if I was thinking about non town players how would saying 4 on accident mean I’m the werewolf?

I don’t think it’s that ridiculous to think that having the WW be alive is NotBad for town because the potential for crossfire is fairly likely and very good for us. I still don’t understand what I’m even “signaling” am I trying to tell the mafia I’m the werewolf? Lol

killing sk is not as good as killing mafia, but we obviously can't kill mafia without voting lmao we are just putting ourself behind

Dusk, I lied about actually not being able to find the serial killer. On my home site, I am known for being a very accurate power role hunter. In a rolemadness game I was able to deduce tbat not only was Vulgard a mafia member, they were exactly a rolecop. I did this without actually knowing that there was a rolecop in the game, and without knowing Vulgard alignment. In the same breath I also pointed out that aelin was a likely power role (they were a mafia roleblocker). Finding the serial killer, or mafia power roles, or just mafia in general is actually fairly possible with the right environment

tbf you are a good pr hunter from what I've seen, but I also think SK is obviously harder to find compared to mafia
