So a few things about last night,
You need to understand that the whole fk vote pivot happened 11 minutes before EoD.
I was already sticking to the previous Whdyon vote that was largely decided by town while the whole PR reveals where happening.
I'd initially already stated that
I wasn't the biggest fan of the Hydro vote, while somewhat acquiescing that I'd flip if votes remained on them. Other players like Jalmont and Psy also call out that this vote is kinda wack.
Right after I state that I didn't really like the Hydro pivot,
I leave for a good 20 minutes, to be greeted with the Hydro Tracker claim and a bunch of other things. My primary objective at this point is catching up with the thread for the 9-ish new pages that got added. And I'm caught up
13 minutes before EoD.
Votecount 2.7 was essentially when the hydro wagon was at it's peak,
Votecount 2.7 the D2 EOD madness is here edition
HydrogenHydreigon (6): firekitten,Lady Salamence, Laurel, realiti, Spiderz, Whydon
Whydon (4): Ehmcee, HydrogenHydreigon, JALMONT, Psypsypsypsypsythe
ImaginaryNeon (1): ImaginaryNeon
Note that I'm stuck on the Whydon wagon with 3 other essentially town-confirmed players (psy can be argued, but still town imo), this is when the Hydro results end up coming out, demonstrating that Jalmont visited someone on night 1.
Now I am personally pretty weary already of flipping votes at EoD, with 2 NK's and arguments flowing left and right, I decided it would probably be best if I sticked to the original town-agreed Whydon vote, since at best we removed a scum, or somewhat improved the gamestate from an unreadable player (who somehow has become one of the most townie players in the span of a day).
This is when the fk votes start pouring in seemingly out of nowhere from the hydro wagon, mainly sparked by
this comment by psy.
However we're also at a point where Jalmont is revealed to either be Jailor, or maf/ww, which is something that I believe is worth pushing, so I vote Jalmont 7 minutes before EoD, at least wanting to get a claim out of them. Later on the same page, fk officially claims to be mayor, which I actually miss somehow, potentially because it's the last post on the page or something, don't remember too much. Point is I'm currently focused on Jalmont,
i do reply to a post from Psy saying that mayor is kinda useless so we could kill it, which sounds like the dumbest thing in the entire universe to me, to the point where I almost skip over the fact that he said it was fk. Then
this post comes out from Jalmont, making me realise there is indeed no point voting them and we're also at a cross-section where we have both FK and Jalmont as PR claims, so I flip back to Whydon which was considered the "safe" vote up to now.
I'm still relatively calm until 12:58, my vote to whydon is relatively well articulated i think, and I also have time to throw in a your mom joke, VC also hasn't come out in a while which makes me not realise that fk is currently the primary wagon. I am now put in a spot where I have no idea why everyone's been voting fk due to being focused on Jalmont for so much of the endgame, as well as having the knowledge that they claimed mayor.
So obviously, since there were no cc's (i understand that mayor could've been afk or just not revealing, but wasn't in my mind at the time) i start vehemently defending fk 2 minutes before deadline. Up to now the only context i have for the fk vote is psy saing "we could kill fk here" and "yeah i just don't buy it" from his mayor claim.
Then night ends.
The 3-way tie being broken by actual unrevealed mayor on fk to kill him is such an insane turn of events, and having our mayor be a 3-way coinflip for scum is super beneficial to us. I'm going to relook at my scumlist because psy/spiderz/whydon all get insane towncred from that vote (one could potentially be wolf, but disregarding that for now).
