How many people would play a Town of Salem themed mafia where all roles come from that game? Or maybe a Viva La Mafia redux? (A multifaction free for all with many freelancers and recruitment based.) Those were the two themes I was thinking of if I was to host again.

To be clear, all I'm doing when it comes to assuming their abilities is when it comes to their abilities flavor-wise. Like them having tracker abilities would make sense (Werewolf's nose and what not), Having an unblockable attack makes sense too, something like a double vote from Jalmont doesn't particularly

TBF the night kill had flavour added after the fact which was getting shot. We can be confident that if it is a werewolf, that it didn’t kill JALMONT, so not an unblockable kill unless they idled fwr lol

I kinda get where you’re coming from but I think this is assuming things based on an assumption and it’s a dangerous road to go down. A supernatural indie’s flavour could be anything from IDK, a superhero, invisible man, vampire, yeti, zombie, skeleton, Bigfoot. Some of these are certainly likelier than others. None of these have mechanical implications though, and I could see the real role being more like an every day psychic or communicator with the dead, especially in the context of your role unlocking when a town dies. What if AG starts with one vote he can add, but stockpiles more votes when mafia die? And he’s a psychic or seáncer or whatever? Supernatural and would explain why there wasn’t a kill, since this role also having a kill would probably be OP.

I just think it’s bad to go in hard on one assumption

Sorry this is blunt but I have said this to you before lol, you’ve been fixated on it being werewolf for a while and though it’s a somewhat common name for an indie it’s far far far from some type of standard.

Indie / 3p is the catchall term anyway, werewolf is just one kind of it in terms of flavour and has no mechanical implications even if it is called werewolf
