NOC 16P Role Madness Mafia (CANCELLED)

The primary function of a rolecop is to identify town PRs on a mafia team. I would expect this game to have a town alignment cop and a scum role cop, the town having both would be odd.

I just interpreted it as shade that the act of calling myself towncore is suspicious? People used to do that all the time on smogon when townhunting was a bit more common and towns were overall stronger.
I guess maybe it depends on the sort of game. In this game, I think these kinds of behaviors are mafia because you are way more likely to just get sheeped by people who won't necessarily do their due diligence. So I find those kinds of comments where you expliticly or implicitly set yourself up as a town leader to be suspect. It would be a little different if I believed the average mafia experience level was a little higher.

Role Cop is more likely scum than town.

I don't really know how I feel about this. I'm a little resigned to the fact that we're going to jump to like 5 different people and effectively mass claim anyways.

im judging based on the power level of the game. point stands that rolecop is not a very useful role on town, and isn't likely to be assigned to the town.
i guess the question is does genisu know this/did tommy talk him out/into it?

i also feel like rolecop is better here than otherwhere because its role madness

I know that Tommy provided advice on the setup. Role Cop from what I understand tends to be the counterpart to the Alignment Cop. While an alignment cop tends to be town in order to find those of other alignments, a role cop tends to be scum in order to find town power roles. I think for role cop to appear on a town player, it would be a bit of a subversion of expectations. Especially given that the power level (judging by my role, claims, and the presence of a 3p) of this game somewhat implies the presence of an alignment cop (that is specifically not me).

I'm against massclaim as well at least early

Scum already has info on player experience, if we give them info about roles and strong roles end up in inexperienced players it will be a mess.

Like if the strong roles end up in experienced players its probably neither good or bad but we lose more than we win, at least in my opinion.

from my selfish and arrogant perspective, I think it would be ideal if we forced scum to choose between killing inactive town players with stronger roles and active town players with relatively weaker roles. worst case would actually be if all the active players have the best roles.
