Michael pretended he got locked out of his house, and also that he was visiting his parents (which is a different house!) so he couldn’t play after Wednesday. This was to strongarm a double sub against one of the best players in the format and it was at first successful. He claimed that he told his opponent he was unavailable after Wednesday but logs confirmed that he didn’t, they scheduled on Showdown and PM history exists. At first he claimed his opponent cropped him saying it out of the screenshot (he didn’t, it was the full conversation, opponent provided a second screenshot later with all the showdown UI before and after). It was finally overturned because Michael… scheduled games for other tournaments later that week where he was unavailable.
