  1. Metagame Inverse

SD + LO Kartana can't be countered by Avalugg either. In general, Psychic and Grassy Terrain are going to be really important. Xurkitree is the most obvious Electric Terrain abuser, but Raichu-Alola seems promising too. +2 252 SpA Life Orb Raichu-Alola Psyshock vs. 4 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite...
  2. PokeEmblem: Where Pokemon meets Fire Emblem (Reworking, New Skills!)

Shadowgift - Ghost-type moves do x1.5 more damage. (Passive) I know it gives access to Dark magic in FE, but Shadow is generally associated with the Ghost-type in Pokemon. It's similar to Steelworker either way. Dancing Blade - Speed +2, Defense -1 (Passive) Lethality - Instantly KOs the...
  3. Metagame Pokébilities

Weather teams where every other pokemon has Sand Veil / Snow Cloak are annoying to face. Especially since they go along with other weather-boosting abilities.
  4. Metagame Inverse

Tapu Lele is interesting. High offenses breaks through most defensive cores, and Psychic Terrain is pretty amazing. Psychic + Fairy gets past Poison, but has trouble with Fighting types. Depending on it's coverage and set, it can beat almost any Pokemon in Inverse. Speaking of Kommo-o, what...
  5. OU Alolan Muk

Poison Touch's poison chance doesn't stack additively with Poison Jab's, it activates independently. So the game checks whether Poison Jab poisons, and then checks whether Poison Touch activates. So the chance for poisoning isn't 60%, it's 51%.
  6. Metagame Pokébilities

In Golduck's case, does Cloud Nine just nullify Swift Swim? Or is there no conflict between the abilities? Corsola is the only pokemon with both Natural Cure and Regenerator. Still won't be great (esp. w/Hustle), but that's pretty interesting synergy. Anyway, Sand seems amazing with Hippowdon...
  7. Tapu Bulu Discussion

It's probably important to remember that Grass Terrain will heal grounded opponents too. Won't make difference for OHKOs, but Tangrowth, Amoonguss, and Scizor won't be complaining.
  8. Pokemon Sun and Moon Demo Datamine + Full Game Leaks Collection (Read the OP)

I was looking at the demo text data dumps that were released, this stood out to me: So we can make an educated guess that there's a move (or an ability, but that seems unlikely) that switches your speed with your foe's. Seems interesting.
  9. Inverse Battle Viability Rankings

Is Gallade really that worse than Mega Medicham (and to a lesser extent Mega Lopunny)? Less immediate power, but Sword Dance is great and Shadow Sneak is very useful priority (after a SD, it threatens OHKOs on all offensive normal types). And I think Tangrowth is an obvious omission here...
  10. Tier Shift

A few NFEs that are missing are Golbat (Wall, Stallbreaker, Defogger), Combusken (Mixed Attacker, Baton Passer) and to a much lesser extent Gurdurr (Lower attack than Conk but more bulk and can use Bulk Up) and Rhydon (lower attack than Rhyperior but slightly faster and bulkier).
  11. Ladder Inverse Battle

I found Gogoat to be very predictable, and even pokemon it's supposed to counter (Volcarona and Charizard-Y) can screw it over with Will O Wisp. It doesn't have too much immediate power either, so you have a lot of time to phase or status it. I'd also like to see Viability Rankings for Inverse...
  12. Ladder Inverse Battle

Standard Greninja is pretty meh in inverse... so I've been using a physically-oriented mixed attacker (though you can mixup the EVs). Still walled by P2 and frail, so I still don't know if it should be suspected. Greninja @ Life Orb Ability: Protean 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Naive - Gunk Shot -...
  13. Tier Shift Viability Rankings (Complete Revamp)

I think Pangoro deserves a rank... haven't played it enough to test, but so fat it's pretty useful. 110/93/87 is decent bulk, and 73 Speed isn't that slow, but 139 Attack and a great movepool makes it pretty great. Iron Fist boosts Thunder/Ice/Fire/Drain/Focus Punch and Hammer Arm... and it has...
  14. Tier Shift

How is everyone finding Mega-Audino? 118/141/141 defenses are crazy and Normal/Fairy is a great typing (weak to poison and steel, resists dark and bug, immune to ghost and dragon). 95 SpA isn't bad and WishTect is a pretty useful set. As a comparison, Cress has 130/130/140 defenses, a worse...
