Melmetal is pretty slow, so anyone that can inflict a burn could seriously put a dent into his effectiveness. Slowbro is bulky enough to tank a Melmetal attack and can burn him with Scald. Or just use flamethrower and cremate him. From what I can see, the main threat is Twave and Double Iron...

Can Alolan Marowak excel at anything? Even in a lower tier battle, I can't think of what would work for him. And it's a shame because he looks awesome and is the only Ghost not weak to psychic in this game :/

I've just realised that I can't get Leech Seed on Alolan Exeggutor because the traded mon doesn't have it, nor is it available to learn. Is there any way that I am missing?

Nidoking seems to be more common and I have used a king before. I don't think I've even thought about Nidoqueen before. So Surf could be good as an option. Maybe to replace rock slide? Or maybe body slam. I'm going for a lot of paralysis, so perhaps body slam might not be necessary.
