    I wasn't thinking about it that deeply. I was thinking more of a sports match or something.

    Simple. It's much more entertaining to see the underdog win. It beats all expectations and gives you something to talk about. It makes you say 'holy crap!' and walk away with a smile. If the big guy won, it'd be just another match. Nothing special.
