Announcement np: SV OU Suspect Process, Round 12 - Moth To A Flame

I can see the writing on the wall by the way this thread is going. We'll be getting a DNB verdict, and after that, we'll get another survey in a week or two.

Announcement np: SV OU Suspect Process, Round 12 - Moth To A Flame

Support for acting on Terastalization decreases with every survey among the qualified pool of survey takers, so it's very unlikely. As for Kingambit, it's unlikely it will be suspected again unless several other Pokemon are suspected and banned, such as Gouging Fire, Volcarona...

Announcement np: SV OU Suspect Process, Round 12 - Moth To A Flame

Pais also talked about keeping Volcarona with the hopes for a Solgaleo unban suspect when you have repeatedly indicated to not theorymon about what happens to the tier after a ban, and given you've ruled out further Uber drops for now, it seems like an attempt to either fish for likes or just...

Announcement np: SV OU Suspect Process, Round 12 - Moth To A Flame

Iron Valiant was 100% balanced before Volc was dropped back into the tier, and it will remain that way even if Volc gets banned. There is A LOT of counterplay to Iron Valiant.

The support isn't there from the qualified pool of voters, so a Tera Blast ban is off the table. I guess it's your choice, but you'd be praying for tiering action that will never come. If you think Volcarona if problematic with Tera Blast, you should vote to ban Volcarona.

I hope the OU Council is not seriously considering dropping Landorus-Incarnate when the only OU-relevant switch-ins are Blissey and Cresselia, which is not even remotely acceptable as far as defensive counterplay goes. Earth Power, Focus Blast, Sludge Wave, and Tera Blast Ice hits pretty much...

Floette-Eternal would probably be RU or NUBL this generation if it were legal due to its catastrophically poor physical defense (worse than Hoopa) and signature move that has such a high cost that it'd be better to just use Moonblast. Grass/Fairy is also not a particularly great STAB...

Considering the people who posted in Policy Review dumped on the idea of a Tera Blast suspect for the most part, the OU Council is clearly deciding between Volcarona and Ogerpon-Wellspring to be the next suspect target. I hope the OU Council truly picks the one that the community feels more...

I never said that all Ground-type Pokemon counter Raging Bolt as I did indicate that many of them don't like taking its Dragon-type attacks. Clodsire might get 3HKOed, but it has reliable recovery and forces out Raging Bolt easily with the threat of a Toxic, which will mean its one-time Booster...

I don't see why there are people who think Raging Bolt is broken. Ground-Type Pokemon are immune to Thunderclap, and Encore really ruins Raging Bolt's day. Dragon-Type attacks also having an immunity forces the Raging Bolt user to predict, and Thunderclap fails against faster priority. Sure...

Hey, I hate Tera myself, but the majority of the qualified pool of survey takers voted against action on Tera twice in a row. The support for action on Tera just no longer exists.

Finchinator and the OU Council, I agree with those who have posted in Policy Review and in this thread that there should be a Council vote on Tera Blast before a Volcarona suspect since some people are clinging to the hope that there will be future action on Tera, and ruling out action on Tera...

People said this after the Kyurem suspect, and Archaludon was banned with a 76% majority. You omitting Archaludon to commit to your narrative that nothing else will be banned is disingenuous. Will it be harder to ban further mons from now on? Yes, but to suggest that there will be no further...

Don't get discouraged. It's qualified players like yourself that can allow for change to happen. You should definitely get reqs for the next suspect test.

Thanks for being transparent, Finch. I'm guessing if there is a suspect coming it'll be a Volcarona suspect as not even half of the qualified playerbase wants action on Tera, which makes suspecting or quickbanning Tera Blast untenable. Ogerpon-Wellspring having plenty of offensive counterplay...
