    I just caught Ho-Oh Bold, 26-27/18-22/9-11/31/30-31/27-28 Should I keep it? The special attack is really enticing, but the Bold nature bothers me since Ho-oh is supposed to be physical. I need a couple opinions before I soft reset or not. I want to get on with my game :|

    Yes you have to fight Ho-oh, and yes it will reappear. What I wonder though is if the IVs will be set after the first battle and whether Ho-oh can be shiny after the Elite 4 if it wasn't before.

    Is it still possible for Ho-oh to be shiny if I defeat him before the Elite 4? I don't want to bother catching him now with my level 3x team. Also, do his IVs stay the same as they were prior to the Elite 4 if I defeat him?
