I'm all for just creating new Pokemon that evolve with existing evolution methods. It's really stupid that they introduce these methods every gen and then just leave them alone later on. Evolution stones, happiness, trade, item+trade, item+level up, location, day/night, etc... those are plenty...

@Spenstar I feel pretty good about those. I really like the idea that Cut's power is level x2 with a cap. Smart stuff.

@Rein - Kingler and Breloom only have 130 base attack. Kingler was tied with Machamp, Rhydon and Flareon for 2nd highest attack in RBY, behind Dragonite with 134. Krabby has 105 base attack.

I would much rather that HM out of battle uses just become THINGS YOUR POKEMON CAN DO rather than taking up a moveset. In the way that badges allow you to control your Pokemon to a certain level they would allow your Pokemon to do certain things outside of battle. It makes more logical sense and...

I just meant that negating the Water weakness of a Fire/Rock type in that was is something I could easily see Gamefreak doing, not that it was the best way to go about things.

I could see a Fire/Rock getting a Water-negating ability called Steam or something. Think of those hot stones in bath houses. Could negate water damage or give a Special Attack boost or something like that. I'm hoping for some consolidation of items, though this is more of an in-game thing. It...
