Not really, especially if you're not doing the whole CM win-con thing.

Resource Creative and Underrated Sets: ORAS Edition (NO SHITTY GIMMICKS, Read Post #419)

Being a choice-locked Electric type is not the most advisable thing in OU, since your STAB is an immunity for a lot of common threats. That said, if you're going to do it anyway, Choice Specs is almost certainly the better option for getting in more KOs. Another thing is this: a lot of those...

Other ORAS OU Viability Ranking Thread - Check post #2359

I know this has been discussed a lot already, but I think Mega Sableye deserves A/A+, but not S. People have argued some solid points on its versatility, and I agree that it fulfills multiple roles very nicely by delaying Mega Evolution, but it loses a lot of initiative after doing so. You risk...

    Project Victim of the Week

Scarf would risk getting severely hurt by 2/4 of Mega Diancie's moves, while Air Balloon only risks getting hurt by HP Fire. Changing it to check, though, because I suppose having no weather on the field / having Air Balloon popped can count as a "worst case scenario".

    Project Victim of the Week

I would argue that it's still a counter. Outside of sand, Exca has zero chance of getting in anything, so you would never send him in under those circumstances. In sand, he can come in on any move and guarantee OHKO, which is what a counter is. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the definition? Also...

    Project Victim of the Week

Check Excadrill @ Air Balloon Ability: Sand Rush EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Earthquake - Iron Head - Rock Slide - Rapid Spin / Swords Dance Air Balloon Sand Rush Excadrill is an unexpected check to Mega Diancie. The caveat is that it requires sand from Ttar, so I'll...

Programming SweeperCalc and bReakMyTeam - Gen VI Damage Calculators

Wow. I was thinking of attempting to code something extremely similar to bReakMyTeam. It's really cool that this already exists! The interface is beautiful and very easy to follow. A bug I'm noticing is that some of the color coding in "dual" mode is reversed (some OHKOs coming from my team are...

    Pokémon Sableye

Well, you can avoid 2HKO and proceed to Recover after landing a WoW on Mamoswine, Excadrill, or Lando-T, assuming no crits and no WoW miss. You can also avoid getting 2HKOed by Greninja, Heatran (though scarf sets have 0.4% chance of 2HKO with Fire Blast, as if that'll ever happen), non-specs...

    Pokémon Sableye

The number one team on the ORAS ladder at the moment features a Calm-natured M-Sableye, so you may be in luck. I feel that physically defensive sets generally require less support and perform the Magic Bouncer role more effectively, seeing as most hazard setters are physical attackers, but Calm...

    Pokémon Sableye

I like the idea of Snarl because it can shit on a lot of M-Sableye's common switch-ins. It actually turns Clefable's Moonblast into a 3HKO, which is cool because I've seen teams with Clefable predicting my switch and setting SR on my M-Sab team. Unfortunately, you still can't beat Clef 1v1, even...

Yeah, don't stay in against breloom. Mach punch OHKOs after rocks.

    Pokémon Sceptile

Probably best to stay away from physical moves not named EQ. You have focus miss for fighting coverage anyway. Also worth pointing out that AV Azu can still survive a M-Scept Leaf Storm if SR is not up, and can play rough+aqua jet for the KO. EDIT: Azu would need at least 160 EVs in SpD and 96...

    Pokémon Camerupt

I did forget about Rotom-W, so I suppose that does make HP Grass a little more favorable. I also don't disagree that attacks should be used over status moves on M-rupt, generally speaking. It's just that its first three moves provide it with just about all it needs. Flash Cannon can be used to...

    Pokémon Camerupt

HP Grass is only going to hit harder than STAB on 4x weaknesses, i.e., Swampert, and Earth Power can already hit Pert pretty hard. Not worth running any HP, imo; doesn't get Sheer Force boost. Fire/ground/rock is fantastic coverage already, so SR/WoW would probably work best for 4th slot. And...
