Military Grade Camping Cots

Looking for camping cots or folding cots?

Camping is a great vacation retreat and a way to recharge the human battery, so why not take some of our accessories featured here to allow you the most comfort on your next trip?

People love camping, people hate camping. I love it AND hate it. Whatever chance I get, the outdoors is where I want to be having fun with family and friends, relaxing or playing games, away from all of today's high tech distractions, you know what I mean! Sleeping on the ground has proven to be one of my challenges when camping, my hate part. Escaping to the outdoors, my love part. Even my bed at home creates morning aches once in a while, so sleeping on the ground, even on an air mattress, means pain the next day.

Friends have suggested a sturdy camping cot, or a comfy swaying cotton hammock to suspend between trees. A camping cot would allow me complete freedom to still sleep under the stars, or inside my tent in nasty weather, and still have a great deal more comfort than the ground! Camping in a camper is just not my style, so a cot would definitely be an option. Getting better sleep will surely provide more enjoyment for daytime activities!

A cot can be complicated or rather simple. You have choices of one type that sets up a few inches from the ground or one that is elevated more for in and out ease. It can be very space efficient, too, and still produce a restful night's sleep. There are single units made just for one or those that let you share comfortably with spouse or friend. Most camping cots have a sturdy frame with a simple canvas to support your body, and then there is what I'd call the "Cadillac" style, with the whiz-bang automatic air pump mattress top for added comfort, if need.

Sleep in Comfort When Camping With Folding Cots

There are so many benefits of camping and most involve how 'simple' it is. You need just basic necessities to make the trip successful. No one packs the television, laptop, microwave, and most should learn to leave their cell phones at home! The one element of camping that you really do need to make it enjoyable is a comfortable place to sleep. This used to be the big challenge for campers. Sleeping bags on the hard ground, trying to find a level spot with no rocks or tree roots poking in you side. This test of our patience and tolerance has been put to rest with some wonderful options in sleeping comfort for campers. The one that stands out in my camping experience is the folding cot for comfortable camping.

Previously we used to drag out the inflatable mattress. As we spent out time jumping up and down on the foot pump we would hold our breath in anticipation. Would there be a new hole? Would the patch job from last season still be in tact or did the glue dry up and the patch fall off? Now with the folding cots, set up is a breeze. They are lightweight, compact to transport and most come with travel bags as well. This is quite unlike the air mattress you can rest in peace on your own rather than bouncing around every time the person next to you rolls over.

The folding cots are a sturdy, lightweight, affordable, and durable with several options capable of holding in excess of 300 pounds. You won't need to repair or replace the cot like the old air mattress. They are also handy to have around for a large group of house guests and kids sleepovers. The kids like to pretend they are camping. Did I mention these are quite comfortable to sleep on as well? The fabric cradles your body. The only thing that could be improved upon is if we could figure out how to make them so they rock you to sleep.
