i dont see why UBs cant be maingame bosses that are basically glorified Totems with all the perks - autobuff, uncatchable, calls in reinforcements - and be relegated to postgame only for catching them with that Aether Ball(name mine, it's not in the datamine). it doesnt really stop them from...

the site blurb explicity states these guys cant even fight, so im not sure what you're getting at here. in any case, the entire dex is out and the UBs really are there, as expected. that should end but the most hardcore of deniers.

as someone pointed out in my gfaqs thread, 'The battlefield turned weird!' might be a setup for UBs. The fact that it's under Totem summoning text also makes it possible that the UBs are mid/lategame ala-totem fights as well.

The pokewood studio opponents had shinies too. It's the fact that the UBs have dex pics that make it very likely theyre catchable even before the new ball was discovered.

i assume the dolphin is Tapu Ghost. it takes the traits of both narwhals and swordfish. or maybe the Chinese leaker simply looked at Tapu Ghost and went, 'narwhal', and wrote it in chinese but was translated as 'dolphin.'
