Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
What's a good switch in for Azumarill considering you don't know if it's running a Choice Band, Belly Drum, or Assault Vest set? From my experience Amoonguss doesn't take +4 Play Rough very well.
How do you tell if Charizard is going to mega evolve into X or Y? How accurate are you?
I'm really bad at predicting the mega evo and would like some help.
My thoughts based on laddering experience:
Tyranitar (Mega): A+ -> A
Venusaur (Mega): A+ -> A
They are facing competitions from other Megas as the metagame has changed a lot recently. I just don't find Mega Tyranitar that threatening when Scarf Keldeo and Scarf Terrakion are quite common. Sand...
I wanted to try offensive Sylveon, but I just don't really understand how you can "sweep" with something that slow. It just doesn't seem like you can get more than 2 kills in usual circumstances.
Not sure if anyone has brought this up, but I think Whimsicott might deserve a D rank for its niche in dedicated troll teams. It can run Prankster Taunt and Memento to provide an opportunity for Smeargle to set up.
Edit: Sorry I didn't read post #90 before this. My bad.
You have really good points, but I think that even compared to other megas, Mega Mawile has something that sets it apart. When you see Cross, Cham, Gard, and Pinsir, you pretty much know which sets you are facing and can plan checks and counters (to keep alive) ahead. Mega Mawile can run so many...
I don't think you would go for Sucker Punch twice. Wouldn't the first Sucker Punch activate Justified, causing Terrakion to OHKO Mega Mawile? Play Rough seems to be the best choice here. And to be technically correct, you have to factor in the 90% accuracy of Play Rough. So, it's pretty close to...
I've been using offensive Starmie after the Aegislash ban and I think it definitely deserves a B. Not sure about a B+ though, as Ferrothorn is still quite common. Offensive Starmie doesn't really have a way to get past it. It takes a lot of damage after every spin and Ferro can just set it back...
Thanks for the suggestions

With the re-emergence of rain offence, I've been having trouble with Politoed + Swift Swim Kingdra lately. Does anyone know an effective way to play against it? Do I need Tyranitar?
