Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Welp, in the end I decided to play all my matches and it ended in 19 wins and 11 losses. All things considered I'm pretty okay with it. Strangely enough one of my final matches was against someone in the 1700s who for some reason gave up when they still had 2 mons left so my score shot back up...
Today my shitty teambuilding finally bit me in the ass and I just kept losing a lot cause trick room and tailwind is pretty good at screwing me over, with support Dialga especially being a pain. :V I still have a few matches left, but I'm really gonna have to put my gameface on to salvage this...
Here's an example of someone forgetting/not knowing of mega Diancie's magic bounce: FAAG-WWWW-WWXM-Y47J
It's something I saw a lot of today, though luck wasn't always on my side cause I lost one match due to an agressive case of freeze hax that incapacitated my support Cressy for something like...
Huh, yeah, I actually haven't even seen a single Darkrai today which is surprising in hindsight. Anyway, I ended up winning 8 and losing 2. I got worried at the end cause apparently it disconnected but thankfully it was on the opponent side so I got the win. The most noteworthy battle I can...
I had a pretty nice win streak going until match 5 happened and I got completely ripped apart by a Choice scarfed (Presumably) water spout Kyogre. I was NOT prepared for that, unfortunately. Welp. I'll play the rest of the matches later.
Yeah, same here though for me its mostly cause I couldn't quite gather the motivation to properly think about teambuilding cause admittedly I'm pretty lazy. So, my team is mostly just made out of stuff I could soft reset for which lead to: "Use mega diancie against darkrai and dragons, Use...
Landorus - #645 (Adamant) : 26 - 27 / 31 / 31 / 30 / 26 / 31
I should probably settle for this, right? It's going to be for a Landorus-T in battle spot doubles.
I already resetted for my diancie and then I decided to use my leftover masterballs from X I got in the story and the lottery to reset for a good Dialga and Landorus. (Still haven't finished resetting for the Landorus, though.)
I meant more like the specifics. Like, if 26 or 27 is fine too or if it specifically should be 28 or up. Basically, how low is too low? Cause now I have "Dialga - #483 (Modest) : 31 / 31 / 20 - 21 / 31 / 26 - 27 / 31" but that 20-21 probably is too low.
What should I generally go for when soft resetting for a Dialga? I'm already leading the party with a modest synchronizer but for IVs should I go for 31 in Hp, Speed and Special attack with the rest(Outside of attack) being 28 and above?
Actually, forget about Latias. I just looked over her movepool and can't think of anything she could contribute to that isn't already done by Dialga. I guess Healing wish support but that seems like a waste in 4 v 4 doubles. I'm gonna stick with Diancie and Dialga, though, cause I like those two...
I'm inclined to enter this one to use that Latias and Diancie I spent so much time soft resetting for.(Also, I guess Soul dew is still banned? Bulbapedia mentioned it was in official tournaments so I'm gonna assume that's the case here too.) I know mega Rayquay would be the obvious choice for a...
Haha, yeah, I have watched At4W but for the longest time I didn't actually know that was the name of the lady of the lake until I read "the mists of avalon" and I did some research.
