As a suggestion, maybe you could run a lead Skarmory or bulky volcarona. Skarmory could improve your chance of OHKOs with entry hazards, plus it gives you resistance to both steel and bug. Also, Skarm can stop setup sweepers or at least whirlwind them out until you are ready to put up with them...

I would keep it in mind, but I prefer specs because they can cripple more pokemon in XYs meta, what with the insane physical buffs introduced.

Maybe. I'll look into testing that, but offensively steel is not the best coverage. It's all in the sake of improvement though, so you've definitely given me something to think about there. Also, I cannot really drag away from bulk on this. Assault vest? You know what, I really like that idea...
