  1. Metagame Terastallization Tiering Discussion [ UPDATE POST #1293]

That's honestly what I like about it. It has both offensive and defensive use. If it had purely offensive utility, becoming effectively Z move but more often, I'd advocate complete banning. If we're to ban things because of surprise defensive utility, why are type resisting berries legal? Don't...
  2. Metagame Terastallization Tiering Discussion [ UPDATE POST #1293]

Ok, fair there is a use case for it. But the point it's such an unlikely use case that you're basically never going to face it. It's like how Machamp (not an OU pokemon I know but it's just an example) can learn flamethrower and it might be able to use to overcome a 4x weak, physically defensive...
  3. Metagame Terastallization Tiering Discussion [ UPDATE POST #1293]

My personal opinion from play on the Switch is that Tera really isn't any worse than Z moves. Sure, Tera might catch you by surprise ONCE but it's neither entirely unpredictable (there's no reason to tera a Tyranitar into a fairy type, just as an example) and once it's revealed, you can take...
  4. Sword & Shield **Official news only** DLC Crown Tundra 22nd October

That is true. I've always had a soft spot for Weezing. Actually used it quite a bit back in the early days of X and Y, to really good effect actually so I was hoping for perfect typing, but you're right, it's going to be an excellent fighting check. Many good mons like Garchomp and Landorus-T...
  5. Sword & Shield **Official news only** DLC Crown Tundra 22nd October

I'm excited about the new Weezing. Dragon immunity is really nice. If they give it a bit more hp, maybe a recovery move that isn't pain split, it might do quite well. Though something tells me that to make it something other than Weezing 2.0, they'll make it more specially focused, which means...
  6. Simple Questions/Requests - Mark 39 (Minor Pokemon Trades, Item Requests etc GO HERE) (NO HACKING)

I've been looking for Pinsirite for ages. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to trade? I have a couple of shinies and a few 6 IV pokes I'd be willing to trade off, or a Heracronite/Houndoomite.

Aegislash and Ferrothorn are both great users of Gyro ball, which does more damage the slower you are. Since neither of them are quick, you're likely going second anyway. In addition, Aegislash is more likely to take an enemy attack in it's shield form if it's slower.
  8. Overpower ALL the Pokémon

A little bit. I turned off my exp share after the 7th gym when I realised I was at risk of it, but then I was still a few levels over. I remember doing the elite four back in crystal with feraligatr and two level 20ish beedrills in my team. Feraligatr solo'd that basically
  9. Sticky Have a question? Ask it here! (NOT SM QUESTIONS)

I've heard rumors that the blue pentagon on the pokemon's stats screen is an authenticity check. Although quite honestly, that's unconfirmed. I'll keep my opinion on cloning/hacking in legitimate stats pokemon out of this.
  10. Sticky Have a question? Ask it here! (NOT SM QUESTIONS)

Tyranitar, depends on the build. If you want an all out attacker, Adamant every time. If you want a bit more bulk, then careful is slightly better since you won't be using special attacks. Ferrothorn, relaxed is more common. While his special defense isn't bad, he's primarily a physical tank...
  11. Sticky Have a question? Ask it here! (NOT SM QUESTIONS)

I've been trying to breed my first flawless pokemon, a Fletchling but after 45 eggs, I'm convinced I'm doing it wrong. Female Fletchling, adamant nature, holding everstone, gale wings Perfect IVs for hp, def, sp. def and speed. Male Fletchinder, bold nature, holding destiny knot Perfect IVs...
  12. Gengarite Tiering Discussion [read post #383]

My personal view is that it should be Uber, simply because Gengar and Mega Gengar are absolute power houses. In normal situations, you'd have the option to switch but a pre-morphed MG prevents that, which means it's able to strike first and kill most pokes in the OU meta game, with no counter...
  13. Simple Questions/Requests - Mark 30 (Minor Pokemon Trades, Item Requests, etc GO HERE)

Just a simple request for someone to help me evolve my Kadabra, just a trade and trade back, ideally helping someone evolve their stuff in turn.. Friend code: 4184-2111-5824
