Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Not to be a data scientist on main but I think part of the reason why there is such dissatisfaction with the survey is that the way we do surveys is counter intuitive. Meta enjoyment, balance, and and pokemon worthiness are all qualitative data, but we use quantitative data sets in order to...
bug/fire is a decent defensive typing w boots and flame body deters u-turn and knock off from being freely clicked, also it's a good offensive game piece that can pick up a win after things that threaten it are stalled out and dealt with
Looking at the VR slates posted by the VR team, I've noticed that lokix is ranked at the very worst at A- in all of the ones posted so far. What causes this rather meteoric rise, and what sets are people using? I can't imagine it being band, it's such a momentum sink and very hazard weak. Also...
just a quick question, where's lokix? I was genuinely surprised to see it breach out of the B rankings in all of the states but I don't see it in yours. Also I guess clef is just completely fallen off, guess those stats just don't cut it anymore.
re: sinistcha set variety
unfortunately it has a moveset about as deep as the tea cup that it lives in, but stun spore and foul play are both notable options. In a breakneck fast meta like this one, paralysis support is always useful to have around, and foul play can punish greedy setup sweepers...
Honestly I agree with these sentiments, whether Kyurem stays or goes, I do think gathering data and opinions on what players thought about the brief kyurem-less meta in terms of both enjoyability and competitive balance would be at least a useful metric in regards to further tiering actions, if...
genuinely what good does it do to come to the ou thread every few months to make a big stink about how awful the SV ou meta is because of the tera Boogeyman while people are clearly trying to develop it into a more stable place through continued testing and discussion, the whole numbers argument...

first time trying this out, prob not v good but its a pivot-focused BO team feat boots encore primarina, eject button treads, assvest guts ursa, subtect kyurem and of course, double status...
What have you all been trying out during the suspect? I saw primarina got used quite a bit during SPL and it was on a team that pretty soundly best rain, it was a grassy seed calm mind prima with liquid voice psychic noise iirc. If anyone has that team I'd appreciate it, it's got like supercell...
How's the suspect test grind going for everyone? made the fatal mistake of trying a stall team while still in the low ladder phase, wherein people will run almost anything and will somehow fuck you up
how are you gonna keep this "monarchy" bit going in the age of greater community involvement within the history of smogon, stop larping man its just pocket monsters
glad to see the OU forums up to it's old tricks (derogatory)
Anyways, meaningless discussion about dropping ubers aside, how do you all feel about the meta now since sleep has been banned? What sticks out to you as particularly good or unhealthy in this new caffeinated metagame?
