Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
So this would mean that it works the same way with Counter and Mirror Coat. If the holder survives the attack, the foe switches out and the new Pokemon takes the hit.
Haha. Best Flygon comment ever.
Just curious. Would Claw Sharpen help Fissure hit? If so that could work as a gimmick set. OHKO moves would have to be allowed of course though I'm thinking it'll require quite a bit of support to work.
I'm curious to the origins of your party's nicknames (though your Starmie's makes sense).
You mentioned having trouble finding a good Pursuit user. I don't if Slaking is an ideal candidate because of its ability, people will just switch on the turn that Truant kicks in. How about Spiritomb...
Oh you're right. Thanks. Ok so instead of Toxicroak:
Heracross - Jolly
Guts - Salac Berry
EVs: 252 At / 6 Df / 252 Spd
Aerial Ace
Mega Horn
Close Combat
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace takes care of those Pinsir and other Heracross. Mega Horn for those Grass Types and Close Combat for the Rock types.
A quick side note: In case anyone recognizes the title for my thread, it's a line used by a trainer in Pokemon Stadium 2. I think it's a cool line.
Ok down to business. I tried constructing an Electric themed team and this is my result. Any advice and comments are appreciated.
Ambipom - Timid...
Hehe, considering the theme behind this is a creative party. First off, have you considered using Spiritomb? It kind of has a jack-o-lantern face.
Anyway I've got some comments. Well due to your team's typing it is vulnerable to Dark and Fight type moves. Your Honchkrow and Weezing can handle...
Nice an electric team with a Raichu in it. I'll rate this team. Well since you've got an electric party you can probably get away with a Rain Dance/Thunder combo (with the exception of Electrivire). Just watch out for weather changers.
What is your Magnezone's ability? If you're using...
I actually used to have Victreebel in my party but since I have Qwilfish I wanted to minimize the common Psychic weakness (Primeape being the third member with a Psychic weakness if I keep Victreebel). I could probably run the physical Carnivine to use Crunch on enemy Psychics. You have a point...
I really like your party. I've got a Victreebel in my UU party as well. Your party has very good typing. You've gotta watch out for those fire types though. Half you party has a fire weakness.
I had a similar team constructed before but I changed it a little. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
Torkoal - Leftovers
Relaxed - White Smoke
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SAt
Toxic
Rapid Spin
Lava Plume
Stealth Rock
My starter. Sets up Stealth Rock and spins away the foe's traps. Lava Plume's burn...
Ok thanks. Would the Rest-Sleep Talk Heatran (seen on the Smogon strategy pokedex) work for my party?
With regards to Fighting resistance, how about I replace Clefable with Claydol? Claydol is my first choice being a Psychic type with good defenses and immunity to Sandstorm.
This is my first Wi-Fi team so I appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks. This party is built around Tyranitar. I've always wanted to raise one but it's ability requires the party to work with it and I couldn't think of a good party prior to Pearl.
Tyranitar - Sandstream
Brave - Expert Belt...
