That's exactly it. Latias has Draining Kiss and better bukl than Latios, making Stored Power setup sets a bit too good. Latios has more raw power and has felt borderline broken at times, but isn't anywhere near as effective with set up sets and is much more manageable because of it.

Triple Axel is generally recommended because it's Meow's strongest option vs neutral targets, and hits tons of key mons such as Torn-T, Thundy-T, Hydrapple, etc. Being able to hit through substitutes, sash, and sturdy is always nice too.
