  1. Simple Questions/Requests - Mark 36 (Minor Pokemon Trades, Item Requests etc GO HERE) (NO HACKING)

The damage trade-off is pretty negligible with max attack bar Skarmory. 252/0 Scizor will still get OHKO'd. The trade-off is a higher damage pursuit vs. weakness to shielding Aeglislash. It just so happens that I need someone who can trap psychics/ghosts.
  2. Simple Questions/Requests - Mark 36 (Minor Pokemon Trades, Item Requests etc GO HERE) (NO HACKING)

Does anyone happen to have or know someone who has an adamant Larvitar/Pupitar/Tyranitar with Fire Punch and Pursuit? Thanks!!
  3. Pokémon Garchomp

You misunderstood me. I'm saying SCARFED Magnezone is a good counter/check.
  4. Pokémon Gengar

How does Gengar die to perish song? T-Tar will die once it protects on the last countdown.
  5. Pokémon Garchomp

Magnezone not only resists fairy, but is immune to t-wave and resists air slash. With a scarf, Mag can switch into nasty plot, outspeed and OHKO with Tbolt. Magnezone should be scarfed imo to be able to check (mega) Lucario and outspeed all Scizor variants. Coupled with the fact that offensive...
  6. Pokémon Kangaskhan

Unless Kanga somehow has Crunch and Fire Punch, Gengar can 100% check it with Sub + Disable. Sucker Punch has less pp, so you can stall it out and fully heal in the meantime, if you're afraid of the second sucker punch OHKOing you.
  7. Pokémon Blastoise

If you want to be OU relevant, then Megatoise no questions asked. As much as I like regular toise, it misses power and mono water has fallen from grace as a defensive typing.
  8. Pokémon Tyranitar

Careful lets it outspeed 0 spd Aegislash and deal 32-38% to 252/0 Aegislash or 40-47% to 0/0 Aegislash with Fire Blast. Careful doesn't really lose any thresholds. Skarmory is still 2HKO'd, Ferrothorn is still 2HKO'd, Scizor is still OHKO'd after rocks. The only one that you miss is Gliscor; you...
  9. Pokémon Starmie

No one's stupid enough to switch Gengar into Starmie and LO Hydro Pump 2HKOs Scizor. So you need prediction to use Rapid Spin effectively; welcome to the world of Pokémon. As has been said before, Defog removes YOUR hazards as well, which not only benefits your Volcarona, Dragonite and...
  10. Pokémon Starmie

The problem is that all of the potential defoggers that you mentioned will be affected and potentially be compromised if you give them defog. Latias will lose a coverage move or roost. Skarmory will lose whirlwind or spikes/stealth rock. Gliscor will lose subtoxic, dancepass, taunt or coverage...
  11. Pokémon Starmie

Starmie and Blastoise aren't weak to Fire and Ice. ;) He did say that spinners shouldn't compound your sweepers' weaknesses.
  12. Pokémon Starmie

I always used the bulky spinner set since I really dislike losing Starmie to a pursuiter after spinning once. I imagine this gen will make no difference. Actually, Scizor seems to be even more dominant since it counters fairies so well and T-Tar seems to be rising too with the help of assault...
  13. Pokémon Venusaur

I think the general consensus is that Megasaur is great as a mixed or physical tank, since it can take all of Azumarill's attacks like a champ. You usually don't have to fear other fairies. Using it as a special tank undermines his qualities to take fighting, water, bug and ground attacks imo...
  14. Pokémon Gengar

Scarf users can't check the SubDisable set if it has a sub up. Gengar truly is the god of versatility.
  15. Pokémon Gyarados

Yeah I tried to justify MegaGyara in my bulky offense team, but even with the increased bulk, without leftovers, it can't do its job properly, namely taking hits and forcing switches over the course of a game. Reststalk is the only reliable way to recover its health and I can't justify a wish...
