The more I see this game's leaks, the more I feel bad for the devs that handled this remake. If this isn't proof they were forced to finish their product post launch due to draconian release dates, then the term rushed simply holds no meaning anymore.

It definitively is. Battle Tower/Frontier/whatever teams are usually stored on a separate spot from the main story ones, which means the boss of each facility is usually given one placeholder mon for their main story entries. That's how it works in the gen 4/5 games at least.

Also do we still know if getting Feebas in the remake is as tedious as the originals? Even ORAS toned down Gamefreak's "Feebas fishing spots that change dialy" thing.

There's always the chance HOME gives you a one-week-trial to do whatever you want just like Bank does, which should be enough time to transfer everything you have into SwSh. I did that for Gen 6 at least.
