Hi. Beat Up uses the attack stat of the form that an ally started the battle in, as shown by DaWoblefet in Gen 8. I confirmed this is still the case using Terapagos in Gen 9, too. Palafin specifically is yet to be directly tested but this holds for every other case. Hope this helps.
