I'm a casual, laid back gamer

I've been playing Pokemon since 1st generation up to current generation, however I'm completely new to the competitive side of Pokemon. I got interested in competitive battling around 5th gen, but I only began just learning about "ev training and iv breeding", 6th gen would be my starting point of wanting to play competitively.

I've recently began playing on showdown to understand how competitive play works, but I still have difficulty understanding how it plays out, such as the effective items used for Pokemon, the roles each Pokemon play, an especially telling the difference between casual in game play and competitive play.

I also have a bit of a short fuse when it comes to losing a battle so please bare with me and my short temper. ^^"

I hope I can be able to play Pokemon at a much higher level than just casual play, and I hope to make some friends in this community.
