Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I think for the same reason Dragonite should be high because it doesn't take a mega slot, some mega's could be lower because of they take up the slot. Or we don't rank this way and look at the pokemon seperately like you said before. I honestly don't think Dragonite is still up there because of...
I understand. To be completely honest, I was trying to start a small discussion about him. Gliscor has been hanging out in A rank for a long time but hasn't been discussed much (from what I've seen)
I really wonder what Gliscor is still doing in A rank. He can run a variety of sets but most of them are outclassed by other pokemon. Gliscor isn't neccesarily bad but I don't see why he is in such a high rank. I might be missing something here because of my ignorance but this is the way I...
I've been gone for a while and daaaaamn it took long for Drapion to move up. Also good to see that people realise that Yanmega is an offensive monster. He was sitting way too low for where he belonged lol.
I actually still believe that Drapion deserves to be moved up to A-. It can easily fight a lot the higher ranked threats and is pretty versatile. Outside of Froslass he is probably the best taunt user meaning he can shut down a lot of pokemon that try to setup or stall Drapion out. He has decent...
While Defog is definitely a good move, I barely see it. One reason might be that there aren't too many exceptional defoggers, most of them are eviolite users too (Togetic, Golbat, Gligar). Knock Off is an awfully scary move that makes these pokemon weaker than they should be so people don't run...
I suppose the Slurpuff users I've seen are just using it wrong. The ones I face usually let it die early after it has set-up. It seems more like a mid-late game sweeper.
Is running BD Slurpuff really worth it? I know its ability complements it very well, but its moveset doesn't at all. It seriously only gets 2 physical moves and one of them isn't even super effective against anything.
Don't get me wrong, Slurpuff isn't a bad pokemon at all. I actually think...
Ah I knew I forgot something. Though I do think that it's very amusing that a lot of Aromatisse users forget to run Aroma Veil. I've taunted this thing way too many times in the higher ladders.
I also want to ask, are we allowed to make comparisons with pokemon that have similair roles to...
Aromatisse and the likes are usually the one I can play around with the most with. Drapion outspeeds, Taunts and continues to Poison Jab/Knock Off. Of course when not running a set like this it can mean that you can't hit most bulky pokemon. though fast taunt is insanely good and should not be...
I nominate Drapion for A-
Reason for is because of how well it does against a large part of the top threats. Drapion has some very nice bulk and only one weakness giving him already one niche. He also has lots of good offensive moves and support moves. You can basically Knock Off anything you...
Agreed. It's very predictable and you can easily play around it. I've heard people say that the taunt+destiny bond is cheap and "unavoidable". This isn't true at all imo. Setting up more than one layer of spikes is also very hard, you can also just remove them later on.
Froslass may be...
It's still outsped by various fast threats that OHKO it afterwards. Locking yourself into only one move also isn't the best thing. I honestly think a scarf set is more potent. This way you can outspeed these threats I mentioned earlier and probably OHKO them.
