The name is Dillon. Let me start this by saying I am a longtime reader of Smogon.com and have been into competitive battling for years before discovering this gem of a website. I'd like to think of myself as an original fan of Pokemon, seeing as how I bought Red version when it first became available in the U.S. and the same story goes for watching the anime as a child and playing the TCG. However, it's the video games that have always made a major impact on my life, and I've stayed quite faithful to them throughout the years. My favorite was the Johto saga, closely followed by D/P. Pokemon has made a MASSIVE impact on my life as I'm sure it has everyone else on this site. X and Y were released about a week ago upon this posting and I've decided to join Smogon at this early point in the meta and commit myself to true competition from here on out. I used to play with my friends quite often, but I was always ten steps ahead of them(not to sound cocky), and they never really gave me a challenge. Now, most of them have "grown out" of Pokemon, so I have very few people to play against. T.T Here's hoping to have some on-the-edge-of-my-seat, pull-my-freaking-hair-out, and throw-my-3DS-across-the-room battles with you guys. Those are always the best. :)
