I was just thinking that Giga Drain could be awesome on Butterfree. At the very least it I think it could be better than substitute or HP rock in some cases.

As Sandslash now has access to Sand Rush, it has finally found away to surpass Donphan. While 110 Def, 100 Atk, 65 Spe are somewhat lacking, given Sand Rush, Swords Dance, and Rapid Spin I think Sandslash is worth looking into.

UPDATE'd I know a new ban list is coming up soon but this team has struggled to keep up with the changing metagame so any advice would be welcomed.

I for one would be quite interested in seeing this type of tier/rule set implemented on the Smogon server. While I know that may not be the point of this thread, I feel that a metagame, which more closely resembles in-game competitive battling would be interesting.

Thank you for your comments. I've decided to give Azriel's hitmonlee set a go and I put Brick Break on Scyther. This however was done more for Aggron, Registeel, and Steelix as Bug Bite does more to Rhyperior than Brick break. I'll update my main post sometime today.
