  1. Pokémon Kommo-o

Kommo-o stats has me thinking of trying out an oldie but Goldie bulky dragon dance set similar to VGC '14 Bulky Dragon Dance Gyarados. I'm working on showdown calculator to work the numbers
  2. VGC Team Thunderstorm (Road to VGC)

The team has worked out pretty well. The Amoongus Fix has saved me a few games, but I am really unsure about Noivern. I like the speed it brings, but as much as I know, it really doesn't bring as much pain offensively across the board. Against the Sun, The boosted flamethrower does justice and...
  3. VGC A Fall Classic

No worries. But I am beginning to draw some concern with the offensive output here. Defensively, I'm looking out on 6-8 immunities and at least 14 good resistances. Which is not too bad, but it's slowing me on good offenses. I am pretty much set on Altaria-M Gengar and Excadrill...
  4. VGC A Fall Classic

You're assuming choice specs. I am assuming choice scarf and this is set at level 50 apiece.
  5. VGC A Fall Classic

im not invalidating your suggestions. Since i had already bred two different excadrill, it is just a matter of a swap. As far as Altaria goes Defensive Altaria 252+ SpA Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 240 HP / 156 SpD Altaria: 63-75 (35 - 41.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO 0 Atk Altaria Earthquake vs. 0 HP /...
  6. VGC A Fall Classic

I really wanted to go with the Defensive Altaria as a matter of choice. I like the fact that Altaria can get in and soak up a lot of damage. If I needed raw output, Mega Salamence would be a vastly superior choice. My Thought Process was more into I am not going to really bring the Tyranitar...
  7. VGC A Fall Classic

I decided to make a second team to use for VGC play, a bit more Defensive minded than my Rain Team. Altaria Hold Item: Altarianite Ability: Natural Cure IV: 31/31/31/31/31/0 Relaxed Nature EV: 244 HP/ 104 Def / 156 SpDef / 4 Spe Moveset: ~ Heal Bell ~ Roost ~ Hyper Voice ~ Earthquake Role...
  8. VGC Team Thunderstorm (Road to VGC)

I'll try it out. In other news, I'm a bit uncertain for noivern. It's definitely fast and can hit hard. But im split between it and mixed dragonite
  9. VGC Team Thunderstorm (Road to VGC)

Thanks. I think that there are two ways I can play this team and I'll probably also develop a trick room variation to this team. After of course, I finish the Hyper Offense and Sun Team that's been weeks in the making. Also, as a note, I think I might keep Aegislash on board just in case I...
  10. VGC Team Thunderstorm (Road to VGC)

To be honest, I didn't care. I knew for the fact, save priority or some ungodly scarfed what pokemon, Mega Blaziken has enough strength and Speed Boosts to get the drop on most opponents he's going to face. I think, that on his set, Flare Blitz is really a wallbreaker option and primarily im...
  11. VGC Team Thunderstorm (Road to VGC)

Hello all, I am working on using an old concept for the meta. It's been a while since I did a team, but I will do my listing what I have and why I use what I use. Politoed Calm Nature Ability: Drizzle Ev Spread: 252 HP / 76 Def / 76 SpAtk / 100 SpDef / 4 Spe Hold Item: Sitrus Berry Moveset...
  12. ORAS OU Attempting to Dance in the Rain....

I figured that was the case. In any respect, this team just isn't for smogon. I am also planning for use in VGC, so even though it seems a little counterintuitive, I wanted to keep this as close to a VGC-Style as much as humanly possible. Still, There are some other things I wanted to consider...
  13. ORAS OU Attempting to Dance in the Rain....

Honestly, it wasn't a bad idea to run protect on it. having it allowed me to gain decent recovery along with leftovers to pull back into the match and get things popping. i do miss the extra fairy coverage, but walling them works justs as good.
  14. ORAS OU Attempting to Dance in the Rain....

I chose the sets I did as follows: Dragonite: It is the B/W rain mixed attacking set. Since I wasn't so sure on setting Superpower or Aqua Tail, the spread lets me hit hard with Aqua Tail under Rain, but if I went for Superpower, allows me to OHKO Tyranitar, Heatran 81% of the time, and...

Ok and your point would prove exactly what? That it doesn't exist. Smogon has an item clause rule they observe. VGC has their rule for it. I want to play in a VGC format, ergo I observe their rules. What's so hard about that?
