Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Threw together a rough team for Rock of Tyranitar, Terrakion and Lycanroc-Dusk and got a few wins. Only successful run was Bug with Volcarona (should probably try Specs over the Quiver Dance set I did), Scizor and Golisopod.
Quick question though where do y'all grind out PP Ups? If you guys...
Well this has to be the most interesting format they've released. I'm guessing the mons to beat would be Mega Salamence, Marshadow, Complete Zygarde and Deoxys. Probably plays similarly to OU but with a few Ubers mixed in.
Something that immediately comes to mind are the mindgames that can be...
Ended up 16-11 despite messing up significantly on my teambuilding with Terrakion and Whimsicott. I ended up not using Whimsicott at all except for one game I knew was going to be Trick Room and Encore ended up stalling him out a bit (still lost to Rock Slide hax). After being discouraged by...
Actually, Terracott might be pretty scary since the only Pokemon that resist Rock in this format are covered potentially by Whimsicott (Ground and Fighting), though you have to pick one if you want to fit other good support moves. A Phazer might be necessary though Haze is pretty poorly...
With that in mind, Dhelmise might be interesting to pick up some "STAB" Steel-type moves and maybe get some free kills on the Fairy and Rock-types all over the format. Might be too gimmicky but its certainly something to consider.
Might require some testing but Decidueye and Greninja with the Pledge combo could be usable. Greninja has a ton of weaknesses this format but Decidueye's only crippling weakness will be Chandelure and possibly Krookodile if he ends up being super common. Should be more interesting than the...
I threw my team together a little too haphazardly but the concepts in it are pretty solid. Always led Togedemaru and usually led Azelf. Skill Swap and Stealth Rock probably would have been better as Psychic and Protect but gimping a few Prankster Pokémon was worth it. Krokorok is completely...
Anyone considered Krokorok? Utility mon with Atk/SpA reduction on a team that otherwise has none. I don't think its outclassed by Growlithe though it might be outclassed by Herdier or Mightyena, though it has Foul Play over both of them and Eviolite over the latter. Thoughts? Too bad...
Trying to get started with this tournament, but the Battle Spot says there's something wrong with one or more of my Pokemon. Can anyone see anything wrong with this? Showdown doesn't say there's anything wrong.
edit: Figured it out.
Has anyone messed with Shedinja yet? I know Audino and Passimian aren't allowed in the competition but is there a way to utilize Shedinja that isn't just to confuse my opponent in Team Preview?
edit: Did actual research on Receiver and Power of Alchemy and its unfortunate that they don't work...
What I've been saying.
I don't know why Quagsire is C; I've never personally used him or faced him.
I think Blissey should be above Chansey because Leftovers and higher Special Attack.
No, trust me, I want more than anything for him to be good. Once again, I want some of these guys discussed enough to be ranked, since that's what this is for. I personally would put him at B+ with regular at maybe C- at the most.
I think the fangs and Iron Head could be useful but the lack...
