I’m assuming you are asking the other person because I’m running -Spe natures. But then again, I am guilty for running Iron Valiant on TR so I’m gonna address it. In previous generations, Ferrothorn is a thing, and Toxapex/Slowbro are much more common on balance so there is a need to underspeed...

TR is imo a traditionally very matchup dependent team that thrive in more offensive leaning formats and struggle in slower and more defensive ones. And the meta being as offensive as it is now makes it that for the first time ever since SV, I felt like running TR is not actively killing my...

Trick Room may not be the best play style but it’s much better than you are giving it credit for. Before DLC 2 TR was pretty much carried by exactly Kingambit/Ursaluna which isn’t really worth the stacking of Ghost/Dark weaknesses from the setters. Notably, Raging Bolt works as another huge...

Wish and Protect are kinda a given (hence the mention of last slot rather than last two), but Whirlpool has always felt rather underwhelming pre-DLC which only felt useful because Chilling Water didn't do enough alone. With Scald though, it does have more freedom to run better moves in the last...

Since you mentioned Alomomola in your calcs, I’d like to bring up Mirror Coat Alomomola as a check to weather teams. Having Regenerator Scald already makes it kinda decent, and it’s not like it has any good move to run in the last slot either.

Why are we pretending that Corviknight is suddenly unviable just because Gholdengo exists? Corviknight is still solidly the secondly most commonly used hazard remover in the tier (in every bracket) despite Gholdengo's existence. In fact, majority of Corviknights are still running Defog despite...

If hazard is the problem, hazard is the problem, not Gholdengo. Gholdengo is realistically blocking Defog from exactly just Corviknight. Every other user of Defog/Rapid Spin either beats Gholdengo or is just bad regardless of Gholdengo's existence. So ban Gholdengo for every team to run Corviknight?

So what happened is I played a few games, got destroyed by Firepon, slapped on my patented trademark pending defensive Gyarados thinking that that would be enough, only to realize that Firepon 2HKOs after SD anyway. For context, defensive Gyarados was something that was able to deal with...

    Pokémon Great Tusk

When looking at EV spreads like this, it is better to look at the Spe stat first, the rest are likely just dumped into Def to maximise bulk after hitting the Spe breakpoint. In the case of this set, 68 Spe puts you at 340 Spe after Rapid Spin, which outspeeds base 105s like unboosted Espathra...

Hippowdon has been a big comfort pick for me in a lot of teams throughout the generations, and I have been using it with moderate success this generation as well. Sand without any abusers still functions pretty well as a great anti-meta tech with it removing Sun and chipping down on Dragonite...

I told myself when it began that it ends on the first Sunday of the new year, conveniently forgetting that 1 Jan was a Sunday. I also counted "3 weeks" wrongly (did it from Sunday to Sunday instead of Thursday to Thursday)

Limited pokedex more than anything else. Intimidate + TauntDD might not always sweep, but it's never really deadweight because Intimidate + Taunt + good typing is surprisingly good utility. Ground types (Tusk, Tinglu etc) are seeing a lot of use this gen and none of them can do anything to him...

Wait... suspect is over? I went on holiday thinking I had 3 more days to meet reqs but came back to this? Though I'm not too dissatisfied with the results tbh. I was initially pro-ban, hoping that using TR of all things to meet reqs will only serve as more proof it's broken, but my time...

Spin blocker specifically refers to the blocking rapid spin. It’s not the best spin blocker when every rapid spinner beats it unless it runs a specific Tera, a specific item, and often a specific move. It doesn’t even always beat Corviknight unless paired with Annihilape to punish U-turn. Being...

Our best spinner alone single handedly beats 2 of our best hazard setter, our “best spinblocker” and forced them to run specific items/moves/Tera types to even have a chance of outplaying it, and somehow the “best spinblocker” is the problem? If they lead their hazard setter and you don’t lead...
