Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
First, I forgot to mention how mega charizard y has actually benefited from the leave of cinderace, who casually out-sped and destroyed it with +1 double edges easily in the past.
With cinderace now gone and toxapex dumping the evs back into special defence, scorching sands has become a lot...
Following the mega charizard X comment, I guess I shall talk about how Mega charizard Y deserves a rise in viability rank as well.
Mega charizard Y has proved itself to be a giant threat a long time ago, ever since players discovered weather ball works on it, which was huge as flamethrower...
I do agree with how rillaboom is somewhat inconsistent and does rely on support to do its job. However, I really want to persuade you that the viability of a Pokémon should not be graded by just how overpowered it is by itself.
Rillaboom is the type of mon that hugely benefits from support...
Not sure whether there really is any room to argue here. While it is still by no means popular, as it is scared of a certain omnipresent gorilla drummer who does NOT get suspect tested, Kaname Madoka mega diancie has DEFINITELY increased in viability since the ban of mega metagross and ash gren...
Cuddly, when something works, it works. At least I managed to sneak into top 20 on ladder using this trick room dracovish, with much less stress than I would have otherwise, if I were to use other teams. Anyways I believe I am not the only one abusing trick room vish anyways. Dracovish has far...
Let's talk about the immediate effects of the metagame. With the leave of those 5 powerful mons, I have observed two contrasting phenomena occuring on the mid-high ladder, which happened to be largely the same as I predicted.
The first is that more players have started to experiment with stall...
So touched that ppl have finally responded to my point in my last comment about how a certain wall can be restrictive to teambuilding. Yes! I was talking about THE PEX THIS WHOLE TIME. but I wasn't supposed to specify which mons to ban back then , anyways... My point here is that if we only...

Thanks, I do get your point. Banning a wave of mons first and retesting them later is perhaps the quickest and easiest way to change the current meta. However, I have to say that the short term changes of the meta post ban really depends on which mons they decide to ban, and it could...
As some others mentioned, I agree it would be good to just go slowly with the old school method- suspect test a mon at a time. The goal is not to ban every good mon, but to take action if something is overbearing in the tier. By banning a mon at once, we can probably more clearly speculate the...
Yea all of those listed by the others are effective counters. If you want a dragapult counter that has strong offensive presence but without using a mega slot like m ttar, Melmetal is the premier choice.
Jolly +1 dragapult's Z phantom force does this much to your standard melmetal.
+1 252 Atk...
I obviously meant mega scizor has been a common pick since gen 6, not when it was released, not a good joke.
That is a lot of words, but I think it is better to click the play button and have a couple of battles with others first before you talk about how mega metagross has been overwhelming...
Only not covering mega scizor coz that thing has been around for years.
Yea it is true that mega pinsir is almost ripped apart when it gets stealth rock damage, and it scares tangrowth away... but that gives it an opportunity to use sword dance then wreak havoc with close combat. The metagame...
