  1. SwSh Battle Facilities Discussion & Records

Note: while playing this streak I noticed that some Pokemon are missing from the Honkalculator for Restricted Sparring. I noticed Gourgeist, Sirfetch'd, and both types of Lycanroc. But there could be more, those are just ones I spotted on my streak. -- After seeing all the new Rock types in...
  2. SPOILERS! Sword and Shield in-game team discussion thread

Yes, if I remember rightly even areas you can access with water bike have Pokemon too high level to capture before the postgame. I'm not sure Pokemon in the Dreepy or Ditto area were capturable.

Welp, that's basically the exact same team I have been breeding up :D My idea was to have Excadrill as the Dynamax mon, with Brick Break on there to boost attack. Earthquake and Iron Head provide defence boosts as Max moves. I was thinking Rotom Mow might be a decent idea because I really don't...

Actually something I was considering is that if you do make use of Max Mindstorm to set Psychic Terrain, Prankster Grimmsnarl won't actually be able to use anything Prankster affects, will it? I think that's how Prankster+Psychic Terrain interacts.

Stored Power is useful because of Dynamax. Stored Power uses the maximum Max Mindstorm and sets Psychic Terrain, preventing Sucker Punch, Shadow Sneak, Prankster etc. I made a team using Polteageist, Pangoro and Gyarados. Grimmsnarl probably is better than Pangoro though, I just wanted Parting...
  6. Max Raid Discussion Thread

Can't remember if this has been tested yet, but the event Raids seem to be their own special type of Raid. Re-rolling the raid using the Den Reroll trick just gets a different Event Raid. ie, Snorlax rerolls to Butterfree. And this can happen from using a Wishing Piece.
  7. SPOILERS! Sword and Shield in-game team discussion thread

Was really happy with this game's selection of wild Pokemon, felt like I could really make any kind of team I wanted. In fact, I will probably replay and try and do some kind of Monotype team, or a new Pokemon only team. Inteleon some have mentioned it being underwhelming, but I thought that...

If people need a quick double battle to test with, you can use the Cafe Guy just west of the middle Poke Center in Hammerlocke
  9. Sword & Shield Battle Mechanics Research

So, I finally managed to test Substitute and G-Max Befuddle, versus a Raid. Gigant Butterfree used Befuddle on an AI Pokemon, and my Rotom had a Sub up. It got poisoned. Tested again, where Butterfree targeted Rotom's Substitute. Rotom was put to sleep. Oddly the successful statusings have been...
  10. Sword & Shield Battle Mechanics Research

I think G-Max Befuddle vs Substitute might be worth a test, no matter how much it doesn't make sense. Unfortunately the Battle Tower opponents don't use Substitute all the time like they do Protect, so it's a bit harder to test Edit: Life Dew doesn't activate Absorb Bulb and Luminous Moss...
  11. Sword & Shield Battle Mechanics Research

Skill Swap and Entrainment both failed for me against Dynamax Pokemon. Tested both in Raids and on my partner in Battle Tower. Also, G-Max Befuddle was able to inflict status through Protect. It does status both Pokemon in doubles. Edit: Gastro Acid did work on the Dynamax Pokemon (at least in...
  12. Pokémon Coalossal

I'd like to add that having tested it ingame, only doing damage with fire/water seems to activate the ability. So Life Dew and even Will O Wisp don't give the speed boost.
  13. Sword & Shield Battle Mechanics Research

I just tried out Life Dew + Steam Engine in a double battle. Unfortunately, Steam Engine did not activate when healed with Life Dew. Edit: Rain Dance, also no. Soak, also no Life Dew is not boosted by rain Life Dew healed when the partner used Protect and when it had a Substitute up. (Heal...
