Keep in mind Gengar loses the punches and will-o-wisp so I think it'll even out? It can still tbolt/giga drain/hp ice/psychic/taunt/explosion/perish trap.

Almost everything you'd expect since Explosion is a move tutor in FRLG. However, self-destruct is not a move tutor, which does mean Snorlax doesn't get it.
