Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I don't have the patience for this madness. I have a few shinies but only by luck - I'd never waste any time with the PokeRadar.
Gyarados (Gold) - duh
Arbok (Gold) - Bought it from the Game Corner randomly
Growlithe (Gold) - I can't believe it didn't Roar
Drowzee (Gold) - This one got away...
Adding a few random thoughts to the list...
I've trimmed the list down to only the Pokemon I think would be top-tier in this metagame. I'm no expert, though. >.>
Really, this is very similar to the NFE/UE metagame, which I had a team for in RSE. Include all unevolved Pokemon and you get...
Start the match with:
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Defensive nature and EVs
Follow Me
Reflect
Air Slash
Softboiled/Roost
Clefable @ Leftovers
Magic Guard
Calm/Bold
HP/Defenses EV spread
Cosmic Power
Folow Me
Ice Beam
Softboiled/Moonlight
Have Togekiss Follow Me while Clefable Cosmic Powers up...
Eh, I don't think I'd participate, especially not if the winnings all went to first place. I MIGHT be able to place in the top 4 or so in a tourney setting if I had enough dumb luck, but no way I could take it all. >_>
Essentially, my "pay to play" would be paying 35 bucks for my copy of...
I think the reason this conference seemed so... brief and bland, is how I'd put it... is because of the shrink compared to last year's megapalooza.
Aside from Mario Kart and SSBB's release date, E3 was pretty much a wash as far as I'm concerned.
Well, Blissey's on a good 2/3 of every team in existance, so even if it does nothing else it could work. >.>
Also, Wake-Up Slap hurts Tyranitar (before he gruesomely murders Froslass), and Ice Shard could put a good dent in Garchomp, Salamence, Dragonite, and Flygon... before they gruesomely...
Maybe after 3 Swords Dances and 3 Screeches, a Max Attack Adamant Gliscor could 2HKO an Abra. >_>
Eh, it'd probably do more than that, but I like exaggeration.
Aw, don't get me wrong, I have a few Fire types I like (notably Typhlosion and Magcargo, that poor thing). But I've heard about Fire types sucking in a lot of analysis...es. Because of Water/Ground weak, I suppose. And Stealth Rock.
On one hand, Ponyta has the highest stat total of all the Pokemon that were unevolved from the beginning (so no Scyther). On the other hand... Ponyta was unevolved from the beginning and was never the final form, so it wouldn't make too much sense to ban it.
Also, don't Fire types kinda suck?
