    VGC 2015 Viability Rankings - Mark 2

I think Arcanine should move up to A- It may not be the best pokemon at either of it's roles, but there is pretty much no other pokemon which can run a defensive set and an offensive set so well, which makes it horribly difficult to predict. Angel Miranda showed how strong the Choice Band set...

    XY UU Viability Ranking Thread

The problem is though that Blissey will get 2HKO'd by most physical threats and it cannot rely on team mates for that long. Just about every team carries something that forces Blissey to switch out and then your team starts taking far too much damage. You cannot repeatedly switch anything into...

    XY UU Viability Ranking Thread

Blissey for A- While there is no doubt denying that she is by far away the best special wall in the tier, she is absolutely monstered by any physical fighting attack which are very common in UU. Heracross, Lucario, Infernape, Mienshao and Machamp can all OHKO while she can do very little back...

Balanced team for IG use - Certainly needs some tinkering!

While I would love to use a torkoal competitively, I tried and sadly he is just not up to the standard :( As much as I wanted it to work it just gets destroyed by any SE special attack and 2 shotted any strong physical mon, and 20 speed means I only ever get 1, maybe 2 moves in before it becomes...

    Other Good Cores (V2)

This core has been fantastic for me, my ranking has gone from about 1450 to 1650 and rising after using this. With Leech Seed and Giga Drain Venusaur still has ample health recovery and between them they take out so many of the common threats in this meta.

    Other Good Cores (V2)

This is an idea I had for a mixed core which has been working fantastically for me so far Venusaur w/ Venusaurite Modest, Chlorophyll --> Thick Fat 252 Spa / 128 Def / 128 SDef * Giga Drain * Sludge Wave * Leech Seed * HP Fire Tyranitar w/ Assault Vest Adamant, Sand Stream 248 HP / 84...

Balanced team for IG use - Certainly needs some tinkering!

Aah ok, sounds good to me. Another thing I've been worried about is that I have no way of dealing with hazards. Do you think that there's a better option to replace Clefable with a defogger/spinner?

Balanced team for IG use - Certainly needs some tinkering!

So would you suggest leading with Mamoswine usually if I change him to a Focus Sash? I'll try running Life Orb on Gengar, but then I'd prefer to use substitute instead of Dazzling Gleam/Focus Blast

Balanced team for IG use - Certainly needs some tinkering!

Thanks for the tips! I'll switch out Focus Blast on Gengar as that was only really dealing with Bisharp who would ruin me with sucker punch anyway. I went for Choice Scarf as the rest of my team was pretty slow and had no good way of dealing with things like greninja that would otherwise cause...

Haha, If I was going to use this on PS seriously then i'd definitely do that switch. Thanks!

The Team - This team is for a competition between me and some of my friends to see who is the ultimate pokemon master. Our ruling was that it was based on Smogon OU but with no legendaries (since not all could get access to RNG'd ones) which suited me perfectly as I have never liked using...

    Balanced Team ft Mega Pinsir

The Team - I had never tried Mega Pinsir before and after being torn apart by him I decided it was worth a shot. This currently has me a 90% win rate at an ELO around 1500-1600, the one loss being due to some horrible prediction on my behalf. Team building process - Well, considering the...

    M-Mawile and Dragonite Offensive core

Charizard Y is too slow to be dangerous though, unless they are using him as a late game sweeper (and this relies on the situation; which pokemon I have left) he shouldn't be able to KO more than one poke. Starmie outspeeds him and can take out a solid amount of damage with surf/Hydro Pump then...

    M-Mawile and Dragonite Offensive core

The Team - Decision making process - As I was getting frustrated with my last team, I decided that it was time to test out this offensive core I had heard so much about; Mega Mawile and Dragonite. In theory, this core should be fantastic, resisting each other's weakness and both packing...

The best team I have used - Galvantula, Heracross, Tyranitar, Starmie, Dagonite & M-Venusaur

I'd prefer the guarantee of a 1.5 boost everytime i use him. There is very little that survives any of Heracrosses moves when boosted by guts and if I changed it to a life orb then he'd be taking 22% damage every turn, leaving his longeivity to practically nothing.
