Nothing that is weak to standard Gengar will stay in, thus you will never utilize the Expert Belt. Expert Belt is only viable on Pokemon with unexpected or otherwise unpredictable Pokemon, such as Jirachi. Use a Life Orb on your Gengar, it'll die quickly any way you put it.
